    Hey Barricade, Thanks for this very helpful video. I was watching it, not to change the pump, but to replace the pump bracket. ZJ's are known to have a problem with this. I ordered up and aluminum pump mount and sure enough, the factory one was cracked completely in one spot and 90% across in a second spot. Everyone with a ZJ should be checking this! It's an easy repair.

    Awesome video bro. I had paid a mechanic I know to change mine out but it's now leaking. I tried to get him to come down and check it out and he is ghosting me. I will pull it all apart this weekend and find out where the leak is coming from. I checked out all the hose and that's not it so I'm pretty sure he didn't put the O ring back on the new one. Thanks to you I will be able to do all this myself. I have a 96 5.2 with 305k miles and I've done pretty much all the maintenance since it had 60k miles on it. I didn't have time and this is why I payed someone to work on it but I've learned my lesson lol.

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Overfilling the resovoir can cause the fluid to foam and shorten the lifespan and when the fluid gets hot, it expands and it may force its way out of the reservoir. I would take some fluid out make sure the level is in line according to the dipstick. You may need to add new fluid. Did you order this exact same pump from the video?
