Federal Signal Equinox | Alert | Perry, Ohio

Here was the quarterly test of the outdoor warning sirens within Perry Nuclear Power Plant’s ten-mile emergency planning zone. Tests of these sirens are normally conducted on the second Wednesday of the month in January, April, July, and October. This Equinox (L-18) is located at Perry Park just west of the plant. It replaced one of the system’s original Whelen WS-2000s during a system upgrade a few years back. Otherwise, this is a typical unit in the system. Enjoy!
