Dheeraj bhai As we know This time the snowfall season is going on late, So what will be the right time to start the trip for those who are going to Ladakh on bike in the month of May?
Tempo traveller will charge 1100 for Pangong Day trip and 1360 for 2 days trip. Its a 12 seater bus and have daily service from Leh. All the seats are push back with comfort area. We have service from April to September this year.
Thank you Thinles ji… actually I recorded this video in January and hence could not add this detail in it… However I plan to cover this part of Tempo Sharing in detail in coming videos and it will be very helpful if you can share the prices pdf with me on my email: connect@discoverwithdheeraj.com
Yes bhai, thank you.. and yes that was the intent of this sub series!! Only Tso Moriri, Hanle + Umling La left to cover in this public transport series. With those two episodes published, any solo or budget traveler can make a very budget trip to Ladakh :)
Not really.. i am no way close to be a video creator for those would be participating and also I generally avoid such contests as I do all of it for myself, to help my inner peace 😀.. however then you so very much for the support and it means a lot to me
Thanks for this is useful info for solo or shoe string budget travellers, but I think the frequency of these buses is not encouraging enough to plan a ladakh trip accordingly, and the buses are unreliable. They get cancelled without prior notice. I have watched videos by some TH-camrs in which they had to go for a shared taxi when the bus they wanted to catch was cancelled at the last moment! Besides, being run only on Saturdays and Sundays, returning the next day means staying overnight will be a big challenge. There maybe heavy rush on those days and camps may charge hefty rates on weekends and Sundays if you go for spot booking. You need to go from camp to camp to find a good deal. Those going by cabs or self driven cars may find it easier to find accommodation. It is strange that Ladakh in spite of being isolated from J&K, is still depending on buses from JKSRTC for commutation within Ladakh. That arrangement was supposed to end after 2020-21 financial year, but the administration seems to have not done adequate arrangements to start more buses by the Ladakh Transport Corporation. I don't know if Ladakh Transport Corporation has diesel buses or not. They must be having only electric buses, that too in less numbers. They can even ask HRTC to run buses within their terrain if law permits. HRTC buses are highly reliable and they have efficient online booking system also, unlike JKRTC which disappoints us when we try online booking! Besides, HRTC buses don't get cancelled even if they have poor occupancy. I think to some remote parts of Ladakh, it is better to depend on shared taxis rather than depending on the buses. It is just my opinion and not from my own experience!
Wow very valuable insights sir and yes with public transport in picture it is always a flexibility game that need to be followed… you have to follow a fluid itinerary that changes with the availability of transport in general.. and now a days Tempo Travel union is offering shared services for travelers too so that will be a great value add in comparison to buses
@@discoverwithdheeraj Dheeraj, I saw HRTC running Tempo Traveller in some sectors, especially off Shimla and Manali where a full bus may not be feasible. I think Ladakh Transport Corporation can also think in those lines. By the way, I finally recorded the long due video featuring your educational videos on Ladakh for my channel. Editing that right now, and soon I may upload it. I shall keep you updated.
Hello, thanks to you for my last year's trip to Leh and Ladhak was simple and hassle less. This year I'm planning again but this time in my car. Can you provide a good road map from Delhi-Srinagar-Leh-Delhi? or if you already had a video please guide me to it. Thank you again :)
