LEE Filters Masters of Photography - Joe Cornish

- The latest in our Masters series features landscape photographer Joe Cornish discussing three of his images with LEExposure Editor Ailsa McWhinnie.
They discuss three images that represent quite different challenges; from technically controlling the light for large-format film, conceptually shooting Yosemite in the shadow of Ansel Adams, and physically responding to nature - quickly - as unexpected compositions reveal themselves.
Originally trained as a fine artist, Joe then served his photographic apprenticeship as a commercial assistant before having his landscape worked recognised by the National Trust and many subsequent landscape and travel commissions. Since 1993 Joe has lived close to the North York Moors and focused on landscape photography that reflects his love of nature and inspires a sense of respect for the landscape and conservation.

That third photo is sublime, a real work of art.
Love how she interviewed him. She is a really nice person i bet. Joe is a well known photographer and I love his work
Great video! I recently bought a set of Lee filters and I was going to regret about the choice, but watching these videos I realised it's all about practice and creativity.
Brilliant video. Lots to learn by just a quick few words about 3 photos. Thanks!
It's amazing how little details make a great picture.
Awesome! Keep up the good work.
love these videos
An amazing photographer, stunning images I can only dream of taking. His eye, mastery of light and equipment is second to none and he still primarily concentrates on British landscapes. I nearly picked up where Joe stated that the walk was part of landscape photography, then he changed it to the effort put in. For me to get out of a car, get my kit on my mobility scooter, go 100 yards, put my tripod etc up is equal to a 5 mile hike to an able bodied person,
Excellent! Very inspiring.....
Really like the revier of the filter but i cant afford.
Where's Dr Buckles? Wuzza Wuzza
I say it over and over again, digital photography is just plain ugly. Why ever bother going to these efforts of traveling to these locations with a FX DLSR camera? Anyone serious about landscape photography has to be shooting with a MF or LF camera and on film. Sorry Joe, but we don't need any more photos of Yosemite national park done badly. Ansel Adams and many other photographers have done it far better on LF cameras.
