Late May / Early June is the BEST in Utah. Most of snow is melted and everything is SUPER GREEN and if you hit the right trails they are bursting with wildflowers. That view at the top was spectacular! And the sunset 🌄😍😍 Killer video man!
Another quality upload! I love how cinematic these videos are - I can't imagine how long it takes to film/edit though! I'm headed out to SLC in August to tour it before moving next year, very excited to see these mountains in person. Any hikes that have great views but won't kill someone adjusting to the thin air? Awesome video!
Thanks Chris! It does take a good amount of time but I filmed and edited this one in 2 days which is really fast for me! August will be hot so the further up the canyons you go, the better. Will be 90s in salt lake and 70s up the canyon, even colder at the summits some days. Most of the good views will take some effort but there are some shorter ones that are really nice. Circle all peak, Reynolds peak are good and you can do the trail up to Lake Catherine (starting at Brighton in Big Cottonwood canyon) to get some killer views and pass some beautiful lakes. Check them out on the AllTrails app. You can also drive up to guardsman pass to get some really nice views too (you can hike around up there but could also just drive and check it out). Rattlesnake gulch out to the Salt Lake overlook and Desolation Trail to the Salt Lake overlook (2 different overlooks) are also good and not too tough! Both in Millcreek canyon.
