Joe, I always love the thought promoting titles. I have had a 110, and currently have a GX 550 BUT i did cross shop a Defender 130. I loved the Defender tbh.
I've never heard of the term "chill box." it sounds like it is some kind of creative form of cold injustice, whether it is in an English Land Rover Defender or a German Mercedes G Wagon. They sure are bringing the power in these elite glamping vehicles. JOE, I agree with you. I would go for the Defender over the G Wagon.
Hi Joe, Great review I love all Defenders This one looks great, with no chrome, and all black trims. The 130 will be very popular Compared to the 110 model, it has a lot of room in Row 3, for anyone, as adults can fit in this seat, and have room & comfort… Captains Chairs in Row 2, is a great idea, as it gives more seating options & flexibility etc The V8 sounds awesome I would buy a 130 with the P400 engine & a mid range level of spec, would b much cheaper. BTW 130 is Same wheelbase, as the 110 model. The extra length, of the 130, is all in rear, from beyond the rear wheels. 👍
Man I wish i could afford the supercharged one. I've got a P400 and its by far the best SUV i've ever owned. I know how unreliable it'll super long term but 1.5 years in its been 100% solid. if it can give me 3.5 more years I'll call it a win. 7 year extended warranty purchased. if I decide to push my luck. But I plan to enjoy every bit of the next 3.5 years... if it does, i can totally see myself stepping up to the supercharged v8 (if JLR is still making it by then).
Ironically I also purchased mine at Jag/Land Rover of St. Pete. Though I live about 3 hours away. They were great. Brought the truck to me and took my trade in back with them. Never stepped foot inside of the dealership. Thats service.
Consumer Reports. I always do the exact opposite of what they say and come out smelling like a rose. Case in point my 2012 LR4 I bought new that still runs like new and tows a trailer like a dream. If it ever breaks I'm getting a Defender.
For sure! The Land Rover Defender is all about off-road capability and luxury. It’s got a tough build, but inside, it's super comfy with high-tech features.
Haters will always hate I have had plenty in past and still own jlr products now . Yes they have like any other manufacturer their issues never had a catastrophic failure one or two clowns that spoil reviews
Great review Joe 👊 More reliable than the new Toyota twin turbo 6 cylinder hybrid and non hybrid 😝 I heard a report than one Toyota owner had their water pump sheer off the block 🥴🤯 Those new Motors are paper thin.
Looks really nice! But I know some cars look good but they turn out to be a lemon. This one has plenty of room for passengers. But you know when or if it breaks down on a trip or something unfortunately people in their have to deal with it as well. If you buy a lemon it can actually be a good lesson learned because you'll probably do your homework and buy a better car next time around. But hopefully the marketplace will have better options in the future. There are some good reliable rides. And hopefully car buyers will connect with the good ones.
With the Land Rover Defender 130 in the picture, could it see possible rivals in the near future? They could include the following: * LWB Lexus GX550 a.k.a. GX550L * LWB next-gen Jeep Wrangler a.k.a. Wrangler L * LWB Ford Bronco a.k.a. Bronco Max * LWB Toyota Land Cruiser 250/Prado Mk5 a.k.a. Land Cruiser 255/260 (or Grand Prado if outside North America) * LWB Mercedes G-Klasse
It's definitely not worth the $90K + for a SUV that the windshield cracks for no apparent reason! I'll be keeping my old 2008 Land Rover LR3 SE V8 with air suspension and terrain response with 103K fun miles, and it's paid for and runs great!
Why does Land Rover have 2 V8s the 4.4 from BMW , and I don’t know where this one came from . If it’s the same old V8 from a couple years ago that engine had issues , not sure why they would use that and not the 4.4 v8 from bmw . And besides the 130 looks too long
The 3rd row doesn’t fold flat. The volume nob is on the passenger side. Aside from the engine, this car looks poorly thought out. $130K should be perfection. Gonna be a no from me dog.
This is one of my favorite SUV’s ever made! 👍👍
Joe is just too good at what he does, we appreciate you
“Do you go G wagon and hit the G spot?” Is crazy lol 1:02
Joe, I always love the thought promoting titles. I have had a 110, and currently have a GX 550 BUT i did cross shop a Defender 130. I loved the Defender tbh.
I want a GX when my current lease is up. Gonna buy the GX since it will be durable.
Quite a sharp looking ride for sure ! Great info on the review and sweet camera work 👍🏼
Kudos boys 👌✌️
7:39 another perfectly executed “to the door panels” finger point. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is not a reliable brand Land Rover, Joe
Superior video, thank you Raiti; you always do an excellent job. You are good at doing this too.
Liked that simple and beautiful infotainment in a perfect size and at a perfect place.
Yeah Raiti can’t wait to see this 😀
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
i love the new land rover defender
My favorite SUV as well. 🔥❤️💥
That’s A Very Beautiful SUV😍❤️🏁🚙💨!!!
Nice to see Uncle Al-cantara is lining the roof. He does a great job.
Nice video keep up the great work Joe
Bonus twinkie tray in the barn door. Love it.
Joe, block those spambots, they're the ones we zonk on the comments section, thank you
As a father of two, THIS is my dream car 😍
How is mentioning you being a father of two relevant?
@@What5Poppin5lime maybe because alot of parents buy suvs lmaooo how dense could you be
So damn pretty.
I agree Omar
Yeah Raiti, Review and Vote while driving, Excellent 👍 Defender of the Constitution
damn that V8 sounds good 😮💨

I am going to zonk the stains on the engine cover they need to do a recall on that.
That s a beautiful car ❤❤❤❤👍👍👍
I would totally go with the Defender
G wagon is one of my dream car me Joe!!.
Davey Crocket + Daniel Boone = Davey Boone? 😆
I had one of those hats when i was a kid 😁
Reslly nice vehicle. The sound is what alarm clocjs should have. Defender make nice vehicles. So luxurious
Hi Joe,

respects for landrover defenders✌️
Are they really as good as I've heard?
Ground clearance in between you and the ground
I found it amusing that he felt the need to elaborate.

Get a Supercharged 5.0 while you can!!!! 🤘
Love all the Twinkie storage.
1:05 Another glorious moment where he gives you a clue on where to find the G-Spot. Jaja.
Because looking quality made vehicle 👊🏼
Hey, Joe both SUVs are great, however i would prefer the Mercedes Benz g 63 😊😊😊.
Every time Joe says gyallee I know that’s a winner 😂
My dream car, if I win lotto this is my first purchase
If you read about Land Rover vehicles in Consumer Reports, you'd never buy one,,, terrible reviews, currently and over the years
Yes. That’s always kept me away ❤
Me too. I wouldn’t buy a LR or RR with your money.
That’s why they’re for people that understands and can afford them all around.
Consumer Reports. I always do the exact opposite of what they say and come out smelling like a rose. Case in point my 2012 LR4 I bought new that still runs like new and tows a trailer like a dream. If it ever breaks I'm getting a Defender.
It's better than anything the US has. American cars are garbage
I would call Land Rover’s Defender 130 the British equivalent of America’s Chevy Suburban. On second thought, an enemy vehicle in a James Bond film.
“Hit the g spot” 🤣🤣🤣
For sure! The Land Rover Defender is all about off-road capability and luxury. It’s got a tough build, but inside, it's super comfy with high-tech features.
Love it.
TRUMP 2024
12.3 inches? I thought 6 was pretty good 😅
Haters will always hate I have had plenty in past and still own jlr products now . Yes they have like any other manufacturer their issues never had a catastrophic failure one or two clowns that spoil reviews
Very nice but are they reliable? or will it break your bank account with electrical issues
The 22 inch wheels means it should be called the Pretender not the Defender.
You know you're doing well in life when uou can drive thr ultimate disciple of the off road SUV's with a v8!
If an American says the size is ridiculously huge, it’s big. Like BIG big.
Sorry, Escalade-V has this category locked up tight. Everyone else fighting for 2nd place...
Facts
Great review Joe 👊
More reliable than the new Toyota twin turbo 6 cylinder hybrid and non hybrid 😝
I heard a report than one Toyota owner had their water pump sheer off the block 🥴🤯 Those new Motors are paper thin.
Even though it might be unreliable it's so damn cool 007
6:39 Ohhh good Cracked and Pop
My 2003 discovery has a V8 weighs 6200 lbs seats 7 and has a DVD player for the kids. Cost $7000

With the engine power on that car, they dropped the ball by not doing slotted and drilled brake rotors.
This or BMW X7, Audi Q7, Mercedes GLS & Tesla Model X
Why does it look so big, but it's so small inside. 75 sf of storage? A Toyota Grand Highlander gives you 95sf of storage.
My friend got one for 88k new 2 years later and with only 24k miles she sold it for 41k. 😂😂😂
It's definitely not worth the $90K + for a SUV that the windshield cracks for no apparent reason!

Floor isn’t flat with the third row down :(
Huh?
@ looks like there is a few inch lift in the floor when you had the seat folder down.
Yeah !
The thumbnail looks like a Defender . . . Land Rover !
Lol ! 😂 i thought it was the Toyota. 🙃
Looks too shiny like a piano.. Matt flat colors, please ! And why is the floor raised in the rear cargo ... Zonk !
They have a couple of flat colors available
@gusc6785 Yes, I noticed that black obsidian. Awesome looking vehicle. But too bad about the reliability issues.
Land Rover is the best car
I am so glad that you think so Edward!
So, that means you have scene his cannoli? Never mind. I don’t want to know. 😂
It’s nice but not for that price
$130,000 US???
It's a lease.
Netflix and chill, lol
beautiful vehicle that will spend more time in service than on the road
Cannoli??? Ahem....I believe scones and clotted creme is more appropriate for Land Rover door pockets.
Give me a Land Cruiser anytime.
🤎🤎🤎🤎

They are transitioning away from the supercharged engine.
Off road hearse 😂
Day 31 asking for the BMW M5 Touring Review
❤
Defender 130 for 130k

How is land rover still in business? .. can't get insurance on them in Europe... Brakes down constantly... They must be bankrolled by the government
After watching this, I thought I found my next ride . Until I looked into he reliability issues. Toyota, Nissan, please make a truck like this one .
Looks good but sadly still the worst rated vehicle of all manufacturers
is it reliable??? Nooooo - thank you...
2025 Escalade V is better
No.
Range Rovers also suffer from electrical issues, premature failure of advanced suspension components, and a tendency to spend more time in the shop.
Scotty Kilmer hates Land Rover more than Dodge!
Many better choices than this vehicle.
They have the worst reliability of any brand.
