Im surprised these buttons arent being used by more. I wish some of these sucess stories would teach online classes to help pet parents get started. I bought the whole kit the 1st day i saw my 1st bunny video. I wanted my cat to talk to me.... She is no where near bunny but our 3 buttons are a life changer. We keep adding more buttons and its a slow process when you have a large family and busy household but its still possible.

This has reinforced what I have always believed, apart from the fact that animals are sentient beings, I truly most wholeheartedly believe that they have a sort of personhood about them. They are not just mindless creatures and the buttons are an incredible avenue for them to express themselves.

This is a sweet video. Animals also often recognize sign language and movement for communication really well. My dog Gracie and I often "talk" that way...I have some specific movements for things like "sit", "come here",etc. and her barks vary in tone according to what she see/wants. And she has specific movements for "outside" or "come this way", things like that. Wish I'd trained her with buttons but she's 11 this year and I don't know if she could learn them.

She doesn't get to see Squirrel very often at the moment, and was recently asking for her. Her guardian was trying to explain that it would be quite some time before Squirrel could visit, and Billi looked puzzled and then hit the "I don't understand" button!

This is a wonderful study. I am so glad that the people have found a way to enhance their animal companion lives. I was a vegetarian for years then I went back to eating meat. I do feel some guilt because everything has an innate desire to live and thrive whether it is an insect or an dog. On the other hand the truth of all life is that one being feeds on another in some way to survive. Scientists theorize that is how we got mitrocondria in our nucleuses. One ancient microbe consumed the mitrocondria but instead of dying the mitrocondria survived and eventually the host cell and the mitocondria formed a symbiotic relationship. So I think for me instead of shunning animal products it is about finding products that were raised in a more humane way. I know this is not a perfect solution but it works for me. Also many of the animals like sheep that have been bred for human desired traits would not survive without us. The domesticated sheep will die from the weight of the wool if it is not shorn regularly. Peace all

Makes me tear up too! We have so much to learn about what our four-legged family members think, feel, want and have to tell us! I wish I had known about this communication system a number of years ago. We had a cat who would have excelled in using them. She carried the title of communications director because she would come get me when the other cats, dog, or kids needed anything--and take me to who/what was needed. She also would do this when she had killed a mole or rat and had a special meow for it!

Rinji just learned his first button last night/today! I have five dogs and trying out the treat button has been interesting. Two didn't care after a few treats and walked away. My spunky young gal seems interested but intimidated. I haven't tried it with my senior. He gets whatever he wants anyway, but I'd like to help him have a voice. I am trying to figure out how to add their names so I can tell who wants what. I have trained before, but I really don't want to mess up the button experience. I think I am overthinking it. A few years of watching Bunny and Billi (the cat) finally inspired me to try my own. I could only afford 4 buttons right now. I can buy more buttons, but it's the batteries that hurt lol. I will be trying to cut up my own foam mat.

Humans always have the perception of knowing what the intention and state of mind of another creature is. Oftentimes it is called empathy. The trouble is that people rarely have the perception not to know what the other thinks.
I have no idea how one might have the idea that an animal does not have a state of mind with feelings, but to assume that it is the same as that of a human is equally idiotic.

I bet people are afraid to try the buttons because they don’t want to face knowing they could have done more for past pets.

This is great. I wonder if birds would be able to use the buttons. I have two budgies, and I would love to know what's going on in their minds.

its not just dogs. Its most animals. Also the ones we usually eat like cows and pigs. Pigs are probably more intelligent than dogs.

    • @cacatr4495
      @cacatr4495 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

I've heard it said that pigs are very intelligent. Like other species, they have a design-purpose on and for the Earth, to clean the land, somewhat similar to, but different from coyotes, vultures and ravens, etc., just as bottom-feeders and shellfish clean the waters. Tests have been done with heavily polluted water, such that "harvesting" shellfish was prohibited there, so that they could multiply to appropriately high and abundant numbers, and they went back and tested that water every year, and as the shellfish increased in number, the water became clean, and then pristine in its purity; shellfish are living filters. Man has not understood that all the species have their innate design purpose, just as butterflies, bees and hummingbirds pollinate the vegetation. So too do the keystone species, equines and elephants nourish the land in their respective regions, due to their singular stomach that passes along a great quantity of nutrients, enzymes and minerals, together with germinated seeds, such they they feed and re-seed the Earth, which benefits everyone. Man has largely been clueless in not perceiving the purposes and needs of the creatures, only thinking about how whatever animal can suit his temporal desires. Man has much to learn.

In the words of Martin Luther King Jr.: “One day the absurdity of the almost universal human belief in the slavery of other animals will be palpable. We shall then have discovered our souls and become worthier of sharing this planet with them.”

These videos are filmed in the course of ordinary day to day life, when the person is likely across the room and not in a position to film the specific buttons. It helps to watch many of these videos, as it gives the viewer a better understanding and view.

That's great! What kind of fur baby are you going to introduce them to? Bunny, and also Todd, the very smart tuxedo cat at a channel called *_"Do you know Todd?"_* are my favorites so far, of these types of videos. It's very enlightening and educational to watch these. I so wish I had the buttons decades ago with the dogs I had, though I taught my dogs many words to understand, their ability to communicate with me was hampered by my inability to discern the meaning of their facial expressions and body movements. My Jack, a Great Dane/Akita mix, so smart and so human-like that I trained so greatly would have used them immensely, I'm sure, and Service Dog Nellie, a very sweet and talented, affable Golden, would have also used them. It's a case of *_"I wish I had known then what I know now!"_* Being unaware and unknowledgeable of *_just_* how aware and smart they were, I believe, was a type of handicap to me, being clueless of so much. Watching these has changed my thinking and my heart to having a *_far_* greater level of respect for the creatures than I had before. It has opened my eyes. I wish you and your critter well in your endeavor with the *_Fluent Pet_* buttons. How exciting for you. I imagine the bond between you will deepen immensely with increased communication and the enhanced respect that communication can offer. 😍🐕

@@cacatr4495 Hello! First off I wanted to say that I have a brain lesion and so I may miss responding to a lot of things you said and I might not make sense. If so, I'm so sorry! I'll try my best.
On November 8th my precious boy Toby died in my arms from the dog COVID that has been going around. He was 8 years old. I was broken. Completely broken. I didn't think I could get another dog because I couldn't go to this heartbreak again. Well Chance happened that I met up with an old friend who had a $3,500 goldendoodle mini F1B 9-month-old pup that she was in over her head with because she's really busy and couldn't give him the love and attention he needed. Long story short, he's mine now. He's the most amazing bundle of joy ever! I'm so beyond blessed to have him in my life. I had no idea that I was as broken as I was until now when I am so happy and back to my own self again. I'm having so much fun training him and doing everything from the start. Like you, I've had so much experience with dogs. And all of this new technology and just everything they know now, just blows my mind. It's exciting to get to try it! Do you think you may ever think about getting another dog again? I think you should. 🫶💖

I think it's amazing how these systems have been implemented and enable our pets to communicate with us. I'm also disappointed no men were involved in this? Is this because only women are afforded the entitlement and privilege to sit on their butts at home and tinker with these buttons while the men are out in the world working real jobs to support their entitlement?😁😆😅🤣😂

I am glad that animals can make themselves understood by using these buttons, but regretting not having them before, to the point of criing, is pretentious. God will punish such self obsession!
Also, meateaters can not be expected to give up meat due to animals being sentient. People must live in the real world, where some people eat meat. People must be humane, and leave it at that. Farm animals must not have buttons. They would only exacerbate their worries.
