So glad there's gonna be a Desert RC chassis for the Ascent 18, others are either too $$$ or just CF version of the stock piece. $60 is a little pricey for a $100 truck, but if you could sell chassis+print file for the printed parts that could, in my opinion, be a good option for both you and your customers to save some dough.
They sell that same transmission for the A18 as trx4m 24.1 ratio..then put the od and ud gears in the portals. I think hot racing make a diff od as well
Also you can buy those little I don't know I think they're half inch or 3/4 inch black rubber bands I know I use them on almost every vehicle they work really good especially after they get a little bit of stretch to them I'm sure the longer sharks with the little bit bigger of a rubber band of some sorts
If I can say one thing about shock setup I don't know about the trx4 M but on the 24th you definitely want a spring all the way around I run a super soft spring up front but like a 70 weight in a hot racing 34 mm oil shock and then I run to 36 to 40 and the 45 with a mixture of like 20,000 weight differential fluid and some 70 weight shock oil mixed up so the 40 and the 45 are by injora
@@DesertRockCrawler Aww man so many but a few stand outs would be injora xhx pins and rock terrains lgrp black labels jconcepts ruptures and megalithics ogrc comp pins and djcrawler 68mm... thats just some of my favorites, everyone has there own best set of tires but i think all of these are worth checking out ! cheers man ✌
Would it be available with a flat skid? Ive got the injora chassis on my a18, and im not a fan of it. My a18 is a c1 rig, and the angled skid would put them in c2.
@MTrefry2 i designed it as a high clearance skid even with the drop-down a18 amd trx4m skid. Maybe in the future, I'll offer a flat skid for people to print on their own for custom trans options.
I think you should have went more for the scx24 if this ass beat definitely I run longer wheelbase in everything shorter front and longer rear end which a lot of guys are starting to go that way my rears are about 8384 on the bottom just a little bit longer than Gladiator but it does phenomenal for these rigs like I got some videos that you wouldn't believe the 24th to do the lines that I'm doing it's just incredible and I definitely take this is incredible bro and it's kind of cool like you said you can use it on a 24 I just feel like 24 it's so much more popular hey baby I'm completely wrong LOL
Suck my definitely notice with J concept small tires you definitely want to run a super soft or super soft foam I found that crawler Innovation their medium foam works pretty good the whole thing and don't let the tire roll over too bad that was on the landmine that I tested it on the 63 mm
@@DesertRockCrawler If you had both, I’d lean towards the Alum. Stiff & durable. I’ve seen a lot of injora & meus chassis’s snap or flex. Your prototypes look way thicker so I think it’d be way more durable already. I’ve never been a huge carbon person. But also, I’ll be buying one of yours regardless.
@@DesertRockCrawler I definitely understand the difference in carbon. I’ve been in the bike industry since high school. That’s why I’d actually get your carbon chassis, I know the quality will be much higher. But if you do use Ti or Alum, I would probably get that instead.
@Tdawg0429 it's a straight drop in for the trx4m. As long as you swap over the bumpers it'll fit. Or you can clip the rear and magnetize the front. My trx4m was a direct swap
Very nice crawling.

Rcawd and little guy racing parts is two good places to get micro stuff.
Rad to see you doing micros. I have both 10th and 24th. the micro stuff is easier to find spots to run lines.
Love minis and 10s. You do have to change mind set, but the minis are super capable.
Nice trucks. Good to see more chassis coming.
My boy also runs a badass esc Josh with big kid tiny trucks
They look awesome brother 💪👌
$60 for the CF chassis and extras you listed sounds reasonable to me.

They make a transmission for the ascent 18 that reduces the the gearing. It's a 24-1 trans I believe
Hot Racing also makes 20.5:1 gears that fit the stock gearbox

I wonder if the utb18 capra transmishion will fit,,, very low gear in it, i made one with the furitek chassis and it crawls very slow,$59

That's a reasonable price for what you are offering $65
Also fcx24 and fcx18 please 🙏
absolutely bro 🤙
Pricing sound right.
Will this come in Carbon & Aluminum like your 1/10s?
@ToppersRC would you be interested in aluminum? I was just planning on Carbon Fiber to start. Depends on interest.

@ToppersRC they use 1.5mm Carbon cheap grade. I'd be using 2mm cf military grade. I might consider titanium or 6061 t6 aluminum.
