I've been hoping to see this one day, I figured it out in the zone rather than the dungeon. Hunter's Eagle Eye has a neat little macro you can use that lets you cast it repeatedly without returning to your character: /cast !eagle eye I went underwater with a fishing pole that gave me underwater breathing and was able to scout out under the tree (because the invisible wall is there, but eagle eye goes right past it) and learned that Teldrassil is still there, just really, really flat :D This also works all the way back into Classic/Vanilla WoW, but you're limited because Eagle Eye used to use mana, now it doesn't after hunters switched to focus.
Oh wow I've actually really been curious about how the tree worked in the post-burning time. It just looks like a matte painting in the open world, so thank you for taking us so far out in the instanced version! Seeing the tree impression under the water where it should have been feels almost eerie...it's like everything got squashed flat straight down onto the ocean floor. Can't wait to see how much of Kalimdor exists outside the scenario!
I remember flying to the burned Telrassil during BFA after it got burned down, I got close, but then got warped back to darkshore after I got too close...
I think one of the reason to burn Teldrassil was because of this GM island,it was too close to Teldrassil and they didn't wanted anyone to have any way or acces to GM island.
@user85937 It maybe easyer but maybe they still want to keep theyre dirty secret alive, maybe they have plans for the future or they are using it even now for spionage or as Information and data base.Who knows ,they won't tell us as not everyone know about this island.
No, they removed GM island a while ago, and even if they hadn't, any methods that let you survive from the tree to GM island would also work from darkshore. They burned it to be a huge shocking moment for bfa and to lay the ground work for shadowland plot.
'let's destroy a beloved zone just to remove a mostly inaccessible zone that we don't want people entering but they gain absolutely nothing from doing so'
@@DukeofBlasphemy "Let's also have terrible BS writing where the piece of crap who burned the beloved zone becomes a martyr and saves all the good guys, and lets have all the good guys she wronged not kill her because dumb plot and revenge is bad and not what good guys do" Blizzard can't make good stories anymore. It's the most cookie cutter generic stuff ever now.

Brilliant! Never thought of it.
I already knew it was just a sprite, we can all see it from a mile away, but the Darnassus layout is pretty interesting. Didn't expect that.

Teldrassil is home. ♥ Classic versions for life. ♥
devs basically went to world edit and flattened the tree

That doesn't make any sense, removing GM island is much easier.
