Hi Steven, sorry to comment on an old video. Cracking job, I’m just wondering if you were to do the same job again now in waterbased paint what would you choose? I tried Aqua Guard but got quite a few runs. Used Dulux Heritage eggshell which has a similar sheen to satinwood and it goes in nicely and levels out but I’m wondering if it’s durable enough for handrails or if you have a better suggestion. Probably high brid aqua or aqua guard, i know what you mean about the runs, Zinsser Allcoat would be up there and bedec msp, they would be my 4 go to paints, not tried lots of others, i will do over time. i try to use water based or highbrids all the time know.
@@Liverpool1ne Let me know how you find it. i think for maximum coverage a 3rd coat is required. but for maximum coverage with the aqua its1 undercoat 2 top coats. although 1 undercoat and 1 topcoat can do in some cases.

@Diamond Quigley Dust the backs of the gutters, use a little brush to paint behind the gutters. Dont over stretch on the ladders. Yes as soon as the opportunity comes, i will do a video on painting a window cill.

Sleeve do you use for spindles. I’m using
a Leyland fast drying satin brilliant white.

You can use a short or medium microfiber mini roller sleeve, in this video i used a foam one because it was oil based paint i was using.
Any tips on how to paint soffits and fascias can you make a video and any tips on how to paint window sills outside

Its was Johstones trade oil based satin.
