- It's best known for being the first coaster built by CCI (Custom Coasters International), but really should be famous for possibly being the best family wooden coaster ever made. It opened in 1992 & was called the Sky Princess until the 2007 when the paint job was changed from white to blue.
Dutch Wonderland is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This roller coaster used to be called Sky Princess. I think we can all agree that Sky Princess is the greatest name in the history of everything.
I remember going on this when I was like 5 or 6. Good times
This was my first roller coaster as a little kid and it scared me to DEATH... because I forgot I had a lap bar. I was holding on for dear life the whole time!
Such a fun smaller coaster !
This is such a good coaster not to bumpy not to intense perfect for the whole family
This was my first wooden rollercoaster and it was so much fun
First roller coaster I ever went on. I practically lived at Dutch Wonderland when I was little😂
That was my first roller coaster my second was comet at Hersheypark
I've passed by Dutch Wonderland a couple of times during bus trips to other places in Pennsylvania, we even stayed in a hotel across the street from the park. But wouldn't you know it, it was when the park was closed, either in March or April. I can't drive anymore due to a minor stroke I had in 2004, so I hope they have a bus trip to this fun little park in the future!
I remember when my dad took me and my twin sister on this rollercoaster. We were just 5. Now we go to Hersheypark once and a while.
My first coaster ever! Good times :)
Ah yes I remember this ride I used to go here like every weekend, I first rode this at like 7 years old
Kevin Going yes same
Back in your old days...
Same
I love Dutch Wonderland!!
We just passed by this place heading to Delaware for our Missions Trip and I really wanted to go
How intense compared to Talon at Dorney is the Hulk Coaster in Universal Studios?
Thank's! I'm going to Universal on Sunday so I am looking forward to it. You only live once so why not!
I love the hotel next to this place
Yeah It's called Continental Inn
First roller coaster ever I remember this used to be so scary but it’s nothing compared to other rides I’ve ridden
Nice little ride!
I've rode this so fun
I kinda wanna go there one day and just ride this 20 times like LITERALLY just spend the whole day riding it
I went on Wooden Warrior in August, and expected a decent ride with a few pops of floater air. What I got was a first drop that was almost as good as the one on SFNE's Cyclone, and insane airtime even where it didn't look like there'd be airtime. I can't wait to ride Boulder Dash (I haven't done so in over 5 years).
Has very unique layout. It seems like something GCI or GG would create nowadays.
Fun story my parents would always take me here as a kid, and went a few years back and was upset to see the color and name change of this ride, the Sky princess absolutely terrified me when i was like 5 years old and i don’t know who allowed me to get on that ride cause i was literally about to fall out 😂 and who else remembers the old giant animatronic Duke the dragon that was terrifying
Went 2 days ago . I went on this 2 times !
My first coaster I rode at the age of 5. I am now 14 and just ride hulk at universal. My have the times changed
Well now I'm glad I live in Lancaster pa
I remember this was my fav ride but they got ride of it and got a new roller coaster
Ride was fun and fast.
To be a kid coaster it seems very intense
Shaunita Durham I rode it, It's not, It's really FUN!
This reminds me a lot of the Outlaw at Adventureland in Altoona, IA. Similar design with similar course.
Based on this comment I checked out the video for the Outlaw coaster and it's not even close.
Sadly I was in Lancaster 2 months ago for a dance convention and we stayed at the hotel right across the street from it😂 obviously because it was too cold
first coaster i went on and i was 6
I think it was my second after joust and I think I also rode when six and 5 days old
My first was at Hershey park the Trail Blazer i rode it when i was 5
OMG MY CHILDHOOD!
Pretty fun.
Looks a bit rough, tbh.
similar to what EvaristeWK asked, what is the world's smallest working wooden roller coaster?
I remember going there when I was 10
I go there every year and stay in the containental inn next door
omg that is too scary i could never go on it
That looked like it had some nice bunny hops in it! I haven't been to Dutch Wonderland since 1992. Back then, they had a Chance Space Shuttle. Is it still there swinging, or did they replace it with something else?
001GenLee yep, I used to go there as a kid before moving on to Hersheypark
001GenLee they still have the swings.
This, Woodstock Express @ Kings Island, or the Tornado at Stricker's Grove?
I been there before
2 trains with 4 cars per train. Riding across of 3 rows avaibile
a total 24 cars per train.
I went on it to
i do!
seems nice. is it?
Coasterforce, do you like this or Wooden Warrior at Quassy better? They seem like good ones to compare.
The one at Quassy looks better. Both seemed to be aimed at 'family' type coasters and not overly thrilling. Both are good first 'larger' coasters for the youngsters graduating up from your typical ladybug coasters and those small portable Jet-Star jobs that you usually see at traveling carnivals.
Has this coaster got much "Airtime" on the bunny hops
oh yea thats right. i knew it was something to do with a Princess. yea Kingdom Coaster sounds better too
i bet you play Roller Coaster Tycoon!
Is it the worlds smallest wooden coaster>
No.
Trust me there are a ton of smaller wooden coasters out there but it doesn't look like a bad little ride. If you wanna see a really small wooden coaster though look up the teddy bear at Strikers grove. The name itself probably gives away how small it is XD
It back row ride
just imagine this as a rmc
Never happens, this is a family roller coaster.
The kids who's screamed on this ride is a coward
I road this
How do you it?? How do have guts to go on every coaster??!!! Loves ya! :D
Funny little coaster...did it get you any decent airtime?
reddude333 yeah for its size the airtime isn't half bad.
Didn't this coaster have a different name. like Princess something
SteelForceGirl07 I'm not sure I live here in Lancaster and go with my family all the time but I think it use to be princess coaster idk when I go back I'll ask
MrRoller77 they don't
dutch wonderland...Y U NO DUTCH ??
Lancaster County. Pennsylvania Dutch.
Why dutch wonderland?
Is the owner dutch?
+nick kleijnen The park is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which is the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and the center of America's Amish communities.
+CoasterForce thx i didn't now that.
+CoasterForce I've been on the Kingdom coaster 3 times before.
Also PA dutch really means PA Deutsche as in German people
this roller coaster use to be named the SKY PRINCESS!!!!! 😂 but I think the kingdom coaster sound a little bit better cuz dutch wonderland is already a princess home so just stay with kingdom coaster
