Enjoyed your video and you make very good points.! We went to Oogie Boogie Bash last year as part of our vacation and we were so thrilled when we managed to get tickets! What a disappointment it was! Villains Grove was neat and the parade was good but otherwise, the whole event lacks atmosphere and it really just seems like the main thing is trick or treating and photo ops. It was so much better years ago in Disneyland. In my opinion, as someone visiting Disneyland on a vacation, it was a huge waste of money and time.
i saw another youtuber suggest going to Villains Grove during the second parade cause you’ll have a quicker wait time! So doing that you’ll end up going to the first parade 🩷
Yep! That’s great advice! I would also do the second parade and do villain’s grove at the end of the night when it’s a bit more clear and you can take your time going through
Hi, I hope you can help me. I'm from the UK. Coming to California 2025, at Disney 26th & 27th August. Is Oogie Boogey always Tues / Thurs / Sun every year? Or do they change the days every year? We don't want to go to Oogie Boogey as it will cost too much for us as a family of 5 on vacation. It's already going to cost us £1000+ for 2 day park tickets with genie+. But I'm worried our park hours in DCA will be reduced due to the ticketed event. Thanks in advance for any advice you have 😊
Last year we just did Disneyland on the Oogie Boogie nights. You don’t have to worry about having to leave the park early or paying extra for the special event (not that we could because it was sold out well in advance.) We don’t pay for the park hopper tickets. We just do single park tickets and decide which park we want to go to each day in advance. California Adventure is not that big and if the crowds are smaller, you can run out of things to do after a few hours.
Completely agree with everything you said. I’ve been to Disney when it was Mickeys Halloween Party in the main park and cost around 60.00$ to get in . The atmosphere was great and was exclusive because they made every without a special event wristband leave. I been to the Oogie Boogie Bash once and won’t go again ( especially at these prices) . It just isn’t as good as an experience for me. Also people outside of California should know that September is the hottest month of the year here.

What parade would you suggest? First or second? And when is the best time for Villans Grove? Thank you.

@matissekl02 thank you. I heard Villans Grove and the parade are a must. This will be my first Oogie Boogie bash.

Is there world of color during Oogie boogie nights?
No, it’s never on during after hours events at disney x

$150+ is outrageous. Not worth it at all when you can do most of the halloween must-dos before the party.
Its worth it I am going on outober 10

I’d say end of August or mid August is hottest
