Alan Menken has done many great Disney soundtracks from "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty And The Beast", "Aladdin", "Hercules", "Home On The Range", "Tangled" and "Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures". Stephen Schwartz did great broadway musicals from "Wicked" and DreamWorks Animated Masterpiece "The Prince Of Egypt".

The lyrics and orchestration would be perfect for something like that, and (SPOILERS but) the scene where this song appeared in the movie was basically a Disneyland fireworks show already, complete with a castle. If they don't put this in their fireworks show it'll seriously be a huge missed opportunity.

I’m emotional over this song. Last month my Grandmother passed away. She was like a second mother to me as she raised me while my mom was overseas in Iraq. She fought Pancreatic Cancer for 6 years. In 2013 I lost my Grandma to leukemia when I saw Frozen two weeks before Christmas. Two days after I saw the movie was her funeral. So I can relate to needing Disney magic during a difficult time. Especially around the holidays

I noticed how when Morgan was in the 2D animation world, her dress transformation was the same style transformation as Cinderella (1950) when the fairy godmother put her in the blue dress from the pink torn up dress. In Love Power, Indina Menzel sings the lyrics “Let it glow”...reminded me of her song Let it Go from Frozen (2013).
The influence of this scene by the most recognizable things Disney has made by far just goes to show that Disenchanted is not only about what Andalasia or Monroeville holds but us, as the former youth now looking back at our youthful memories embrace this power that mold us as who we are today. It is conventional Disney but the fact that we are not that tiny kid watching on our television anymore but young adults facing our younger self is a reflection of how Disney has transformed, magically even, to touch us. I’m almost 30 having lived in a new city almost two years now and having the movie come out has never been timelier for me and maybe other individuals around the world. I don’t have a job, I still live with my mom and dad and yet haven’t lost too much of my inner youth. I hope in 2023 I can find stability, peace and healing from the crazy times we are living in.

Could be wrong but I think the lyric is "A bed of rock that grows a flower," or something to that effect ("Out of rock there grows a flower"...?). Makes sense with the "let it grow/let it glow" line too.
Watching this song play out in 2D animation reminded me of how beautiful the 90s was with Disney.... I love the modern animation but once in a while Disney could also give us 2d animated films caz this was beautiful

This sequel gave me two things I asked for. Idina’s singing and Morgan to have an arc of her own while holding onto her love for Giselle and Robert
You will never convince me that the last verse (or the whole song) is not a nod to Idina as herself, “like a ray of sunshine melting a cave of ice”, “soaring on a magic broomstick to the sky above”, a song themed around love, power, memories, with soaring vocals from Idina? Too perfect for both Elsa and Elphaba
The entire sequence was sheer beauty. Absolutly breathtaking.

I’m emotional over this song. Last month my Grandmother passed away. She was like a second mother to me as she raised me while my mom was overseas in Iraq. She fought Pancreatic Cancer for 6 years. She is the strongest woman I knew and loved. Thank you Disney for reminding me I still have precious memories of her that I’ll always love and cherish 💜💜

In 2013 I lost my Grandma to leukemia when I saw Frozen two weeks before Christmas. Two days after I saw the movie was her funeral. So I can relate to needing Disney magic during a difficult time. Especially around the holidays

I noticed how when Morgan was in the 2D animation world, her dress transformation was the same style transformation as Cinderella (1950) when the fairy godmother put her in the blue dress from the pink torn up dress.
In Love Power, Indina Menzel sings the lyrics “Let it glow”...reminded me of her song Let it Go from Frozen (2013).
The influence of this scene by the most recognizable things Disney has made by far just goes to show that Disenchanted is not only about what Andalasia or Monroeville holds but us, as the former youth now looking back at our youthful memories embrace this power that mold us as who we are today. It is conventional Disney but the fact that we are not that tiny kid watching on our television anymore but young adults facing our younger self is a reflection of how Disney has transformed, magically even, to touch us. Love power!
I’m almost 30 having lived in a new city almost two years now and having the movie come out has never been timelier for me and maybe other individuals around the world. I don’t have a job, I still live with my mom and dad and yet haven’t lost too much of my inner youth. I hope in 2023 I can find stability, peace and healing from the crazy times we are living in.
The soundtrack was my favorite part of the movie, I loved the call backs to other Disney films over the years within the movie, but my favorite part was this song.
