  • Answering some Questions from previous videos and information on capacities, and how to change the Foot control operation when using a Foot control for Tig Welding.
IF you're interested to buy a Vevor Welding Positioner, this video could be helpful along with other videos already posted on my channel 👍

Great video, I have the Proarc PT-103 with a Digital controller dedicated for smaller tig jobs on pipe & tube for car and 4x4 parts & fire hydrant spools and a Proarc PT-1000 setup with a tag mega roller stand for doing large pipe spools and fittings

      @chriswoods2263 Hey Chris.
      I like the Proarc Positioners.
We had a few larger versions in a shop I worked in.
I did buy one myself, but I can't recall the model number ??
( it was a few years ago )
I can only remember it had a 450mm table.
It sat around unused after buying it for a sub contract job.
      A good mate borrowed it.
And it seemed like he owned after keeping it for such a long time ??
In the end, I told him the free hire period has finished, and it was time to buy it.
What a surprise when he said he wasn't using it, and I could have it back ??
A couple of weeks go by, and he's back again wanting to borrow it ??
This time you need to buy it.
      NO more free hire 😅
Ironically, he made $$$$ from using it.
Did I see even $ 20 for borrowing it 🙄
      Good Mates ???
Thanks as always, for watching 😊 👍

Do you think you could just drill the stock shaft out for back purging? If you kept the positioner vertical you could get away without the back bolt.

@Icandothatalsow You can drill through the standard Shaft that supports the table for a Purge setup.
And possibly get away without the M8 Retaining Bolt on the end of the Shaft ??
I can't recall the exact setup of how it was held together on the standard positioner ??
( before I modified it with the through bore you saw in the video )
But I'm sure the Roller Bearings that supports the Shaft will still hold it in place, even without the Retaining Bolt 👍

I've wanted one for a while. We have a vevor UK site, but they don't sell anything electrical to us. Not sure why but It sucks, I'm toying with building my own as a result.

@DazFab_Metalworks Maybe have a look on ebay.
They are still available and seem to have come down in price ??
I'm not sure IF any sellers are available to you in the UK 🤔
IF you're interested in building a Positioner yourself, maybe have a look at my second video where the Positioner is partly disassembled.
It might help you with some ideas on how to build one yourself 👍
