@@LaynasBookshelf Oh awesome! Do you happen to recall the title? I'd love to add it to my list. The author of We Carry Their Bones was the forensic anthropologist in charge of finding and exhuming the remains of the students who died at the school, which was, of course, an amazing perspective.
Wow you did so well cutting the books down!! Also you are doing amazing with vlogmas, you can do it!! But please do take a break if you need it as I would not want you to get burnout! 😊
❤📚📚❤️ Loving your videos! Good job going through your Goodreads. I just went through mine and got it down from 1750 to 1610! 😅😅 I use my Goodreads more as a "library" so I don't forget about books that sound really interesting to me. I know I'll never read them all, but I have fun going through them every few months.

I really enjoyed The Radium Girls and Bright as Heaven, I didn’t care for the 19th wife. I’d enjoy a look at your favorites books over the years, your thoughts you tell yourself self to not over buy books, a walk with Indie (sp), what gets put off till later when your reading a book you don’t want to put down, picking 5 asylum books to read in 2025 🎄📚
that is great that you got it down, I go through mine a few times in the year. Mine is up to 290. Time to do it again, cause next year one of my goals is too read some of those books, otherwise they may never get read. You should be warned Teacher, by Frieda McFadden is about a male teacher having sex with his students, which I was not fond of that story line. don't worry your videos are great, suggestion, recommend some favorite genre's of yours.
I definitely need to do this video in January! Haven’t cleaned up my goodreads in a long time. And hi loving vlogmas still 🫶🏼🫶🏼
We Carry Their Bones is non-fiction and it’s just mind blowing-gives so much context to Nickel Boys and Reformatory. I really learned a lot
@@jaynehunter-ar yes, I have read a different non-fiction about that school, and learned so much!

@ I’m pretty sure it was just called Dozier School for Boys by Trina Ward. It was on kindle unlimited
@ Thanks! I’m surprised that it only has 16 ratings on GR.
It's all gonna be worth it! You've got this bestie.

I’m intrigued by secret owl. I imagine that’s like a secret Santa, but where does that come from?
