- Salobra River in the Pantanal wetlands, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Recorded in March 2020. Unfortunately, the previous wet season was very short, with little rain. As such, the water level was low and the current very strong, lifting up debris and clouding the water, making it hard to film or produce clear images, so I apologise for the poor quality of this video.

Great work, Biotopia!
Blows my mind how brightly colored some of those tetras are!
beautiful Video thank you
Amazing footage. A lot of great aquascaping/habitat recreation inspiration!
Very relaxing ! You guys should get a hi-res camera to make the footage even better.
I love how you video the beauty of nature in the most simple and real way. As much as we try to imitate in our aquariums the real thing, Mother Nature just as she has always been is the actual real deal - way beyond human imitation.
You're totally right, but I guess we can keep trying :P
Cannot blink seeing the beauty❤
Beauty. Busy day in the underwater city.
It sure would be handy to know what kinds of fish I was looking at. I would like to look up their species.
Great!
É impressionante a diversidade d peixes q vivem em apenas um Rio.
It’s amazing the diversity of fish species living in one river. I’ve floated in the rivers of Bonito, (Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil). It was a magical experience
Maravilloso
Hermoso video! cómo se llama la planta: 6:45 que se parece a una palmera? saludos

I'll go for quality over quantity! Thank you for your comment :)
Second song used?
Would like to come there. The hyphessobrycon eques fishes are so brightly red in the wild.
I was looking forward to it!🤗✨
2:04 what kind of tetra is that? a brycon of some sort?
Astyanax lacustris :)
Very cool! What is the plant with the Vanda orchid like growth habit?
Cheers,
Chris
Bonjour, I Don't speak English, une question: ce sont des algues cyanosé sur les herbiers? great vidéo.
I think you are referring the green algae blankets? I'm afraid I do not know the species, but it appears mostly in dry season when the water is shallow and there is lots of sunlight.
Hello, effectivement ce son bien des algues cyano, elles ont une forte odeur ?@@biotopia5319
@@86francky Hi, I wasn't able to pick up any smell from them as I was using a mask and snorkel :)
In 7.15 timestamp what is that species of plant?
So many kinds of fish, in Vietnam they are sold with high price, to be like the camera man is the dream.
Vietnam also has beautiful native species though, right? :)
@@biotopia5319 Just a few kinds bro, to swim in the clear river and can catch those beautiful fishes is the dream.
And not a beer can or plastic wrapper in sight... yet!
Whats the story on invasive tropical fish? There is a channel from Brasil where he catches wild Betta's..in Brasil. Tiger Barbs, and even aquarium strain Angel fish in the drainage canals and cow ponds. Have you seen any invasives make inroads? A Clown Loach- swim by you?
Best video to relax from humans and this world collapsing into misery... Soothing and relaxing your mind... Pure detox from homo sapiens.
