Yes I'd love to see an actual portrayal of what a working mother looks like. It would be interesting if they actually ran with a postpartum depression storyline; it is such a big issue in society but there's a huge stigma around it and Grey's always does such a great job addressing big issues ~ Kim would ace that.
I can’t stop laughing at this. Does Kim Raver really think that a situation in which a 50-year-old woman gets accidentally pregnant during a one-night stand and then carries her pregnancy for a year and a half is true to life? To me it feels like the most ridiculous, contrived way to bring back a character that doesn’t have anything to offer and represents the dumbest pre-feminist throwback I ever had the disgrace to watch.

In season 11, Owen’s mother said that her husband “died 32 years ago”. Owen was 10. If math is not an opinion, 32+10+5= 47 and Megan, being 3 years younger, should have been at least 43. That doesn’t even matter since there is not way either Owen or Teddy could be only 40, since they joined the army in 2001, 18 years ago, when both of them were already surgeons with attending positions. Moreover a 40 yo woman would hardly think that 36 yo Maggie is a kid. To my knowledge, no human mother ever has carried a pregnancy from one winter to the spring of the following year.
Yea they never have an accurate age of any of the characters. Teddy should be around her 40’s, but even if she is 50 or so, strange miracles like this do happen. As for her pregnancy, they sped up time between 15x01 and 15x09 (about maybe two months or so) and sped it up even more where she was 7 months pregnant in 15x17. But for the last eight episodes they slowed it down. Overall I think bringing Teddy back is a great idea and I actually think it’s a great storyline, but I definitely want to see her character over come challenges that doesn’t have to do with deciding between two men etc. We saw a bit of that in 15x19 during Jo’s arc.
