My school did something like this not too long ago. So, my middle school is 5th through 8th, and anything before that was elementary. And high school is 9th through 12th. Marching band starts the first year of highschool. So what goes on, is before the 8th graders go into highschool, they get a chance to see what marching band is like before they do it. Because then your given the chance to either switch to choir, or stop band entirely. Because at that point marching band IS band. And when most 8th graders do the pre-band marching band, they get confused not knowing what to do because they’ve never done that stuff before. I’m definitely joining marching band it’s actually awesome and a lot of fun.

Amazing! You’re so talented 👏👏
Got the first game of the year tonight. I’m hype. Stick with snare dude, best instrument Fr. (I’m center because ofc). Make sure your not leaning back while playing, it’ll damage your back and ya don’t want to add to the back pain
sick i just had a game that friday too! sure ur band did great!
You sounded awesome! Marching band is so fun and the experience and friendships u make will stay with u forever! Ignore the ignorant comments and keep on drumming 🏈🚍🥁🎶😊
Totally not me crying.... Thinking about how awesome Miss.Cole is, but missing Mrs. Stopps 😭
you did so well! agh i miss high school only for marching band :,)
Y’all, marching bands perform in the stands too; it’s like a combination of pep and on-field playing. They’re still the same band…
my fav school fr
keep it up that stuff gets you strong and if that’s not your fancy do pit
Yesterday was my first time playing in marching band. I’m first chair trombone
Let’s go trombone
BAHAHAHA “but ur not marching” if anyone says this they obviously don’t know wtf marching band is 😭
I have a homecoming game tomorrow-
Basically this is actually marching band but they only do one to two shows marching per game and are basically a pep band for the rest of the game
YASSS!!! ABSOLUTELY SLAY
keep it up👍🏼the more you practice, the more better you get
Nice work bro!!
honestly i was expecting garbage but for yu first time you did pretty good nice chops
I had the same feeling but it’s super cool
I did the same thing back in 8th grade and was one of the best in the drum line.
Ur not apart of a drumline in 8th. U get into drumline when u hit highschool so 9th grade, and thats if u pass the drumline test that most schools do
@@garyp3644 bro no? I dont know what you mean. You can join in middle school and after you practice for a year or play at a performance you are then considered a current band member.
Clarinet player all 4 years of high school. Went to every football game home and away all 4 years. Marched in many parades. Music was my passion in high school. Even though my mom opposed to me being in the band, I got to play and my 3 younger siblings did too. It was awesome!!!
All I can remember is I played both trumpet and baritone and during that time I was told to play quieter since all they can hear is my baritone.
Nice bro! I'm in marching band too and I played for a football game
I did a similar thing in 8th grade. We got to perform with the band at a game. It was awesome.

stand tunes are the best part fr. the worst part is thinking there’s bugs in your bed when it’s really just turf 🤷🏼♀️
literally...we finished our shiw and there was so mych turf in my shoe it was just..💀
NO NOT THE TURF TURDS 😭
meanwhile my first game this season it rained bugs, i was pretty worried about that
@@DevinSeeleyDevilO first ever game in our season we were bejng assaulted by nats lmfao😭
Doing good bro I’m tryna be like you one day
Playing sounds good and technique looks good (I’m not a snare tho)
i did that but we weren’t taught any of the music 😭
oh my gosh i love marching band. don’t get me wrong there are ups and downs and it takes lots of hard work but performing is such a treat. i am currently in my senior year as a section leader for high brass( i play trumpet but we have trumpets and mellophones with 15 in our section) and just had a competition where we placed first (we try to focus on always being better than we were but we’re pretty proud of how well we do, awful in prelims, WAY better at finals) we’re a 4 A band so there’s so many people to meet and it’s awesome getting that power at the impacts. I really loved our show during 2018 and this year (2022), they were my favorites
Welcome to the cult 😂
Usually you’ll be in the stands because you’ll be playing while the football game is happening, then during half time you’ll go out depending on if your field has room
Guys they can’t go on the field and march the football team is there. They’re on the field when nobody is occupying it. Maybe for the halftime show or at a competition and practice
Nice job trying marching band! Way to see fellow musicians showing what they got❤❤❤ p.s. I’m in the high school marching band while I’m only 11
Good job man keep it up
Bro u look exactly like my friend in marching band who’s a percussionist lol
And I hear people saying where’s the marching and uhm- y’all don’t understand, we play in the stands at games 😅
Pretty cool seeing MY school on the my feed for yt
i can see why people call this marching band but at my school we call this pep band and we do it for basically every sport as well as pep fests
That sounds fun
Well, they probably marched right before this performance and now they’re probably performing for a football team or something
yeah it is in fact a marching band. right now theyre playing stands tunes because well they dont wanna be marching on a field the football players are alr using!
Watch as there’s like one discreet hate comment that a person just went ahead and deleted and now people are trying to find it like it’s gold
we dont just march we play stand tunes too hype up the crowd and football team and support them and then during halftime we march a show
Lol just finished doing exactly this
I can tell. But practice makes better. Marching band is so much fun
That’s a big snare
Yup, couldn’t move my neck for a day
@@Snaredrummer3247no way we found batman
No not really, its normal sized
The true hype is in the stands
That’s awesome man! I’m in the roseburg marching band! What band is this?
Slidell high marching tigers
Idk, but I’m in coffee county, or the Red Raiders if you’re unfamiliar
I am in marching band and it’s so fun
