Money Magazine has identified Emmaus as one of the "100 Best Places To Live In The United States". Emmaus has been recognized for quality of life by other not as well known publications. This trip begins on Chestnut Street, going from south to north. The village green at approximately 3:30 has always been attractive. At that point Chestnut Street merges into Main Street going northbound. After turning around at the church, I'm not sure of the names of the streets but it gave one a good look at some of the residential streets in Emmaus. Emmaus has always been a clean and stable community.
There's something so peaceful and satisfying about old houses and tree-lined streets. I guess it takes me back to early childhood when walking down the street next to my mother felt so safe.
I live in emmaus and it is a nice place except for the community pool, about 2 years ago the opened it up to allentown and they destroyed it and made it a really crappy pool, but the pool was nice before that
I'm from there. I'm a homebody at heart so I love the place. Have so many memories there. I live in LA now and even though I like the city lifestyle, I still miss little old Emmaus.
My old apartment was right at the first intersection. The Meadows, such a pretentious hideous horrible place. My advice to anyone thinking of renting there? Just don't because if you do you certainly will regret it and waste your time.
