I’ve been in love with my very good friend for 5 years. Everyone around me says that it’s so obvious he likes me back but one day he’s really sweet and the next day he’s rather cold and distant just like it was said in the video. 3 years ago we had a conversation with hints on the “dating” topic but he said he didn’t want to be in a relationship. I respected it and didn’t try anything and waited but it’s really hard for me when he’s constantly giving me those mixed signals. I’m scared that if I try something, it would only scare him away and I would lose a great friend. I even tried to “fall out” of love but it’s hard when we are together almost every day. I would like to be in a relationship but I can’t focus on anyone else than him. I’m pretty sure at this point that we won’t ever be together but I can’t make myself to let go of the little hope that maybe some day we will become a couple and it really sucks.

@@flippinmegaman I have a crush on a girl, and I try to show affection (which is hard when you're very introverted) and while I get positive signals they're interested (like positive body language, longer eye contact, flirtatious conversations sometimes), I also commonly get days where they only have very closed responses to what I say, making conversation near-impossible. And, like you, it's not only the end of school year, it's the end of school. Out into the open world afterwards and still no real hope of any progress being made. Only ever had one relationship in my entire time in highschool, and that didn't really go anywhere.

I think the last one isn't exclusive only for romantic interest 🤔 A lot of friends joke around about them being together, even if they have healthy and good relationships going. It all depends on how much these jokes are backed up with hope or expectations. Because long time friends tend to joke about it as if they were already through everything together, but if someone's attracted to you, they will show different approach and they will probably try to subtly display themselves in a good light so the other person considers them as a good catch.

When we're in love, our brain function is impaired by chemicals and neurotransmitters firing in our brain. So the idea they might just be being nice might be wrong as we cant properly process 'signs'.
In my case, I had this crush two months ago. In these two months, we talked to each other a lot through text, regularly sought each other out, asking each other personal questions and talking about relationship stuff(some of these are in the video btw).
Honestly, there were so many hints that I cannot count them all. Though I was uncertain whether she liked me at that time(there was evidence for both sides). I confessed casually and she was shocked but we ignored it for a few days. Last week, she told me that she's liked me since the start of the year and my confession made her courageous enough to admit it(her friends helped). My dumbass literally could not figure that out bc my brain was dumb in love but I'm very happy I confessed now. She's also my first love. We're not together yet, but at least now we both know we like each other. Also, she asked me out and we're going on a date next next friday. I'm looking forward to it.
Have some hope man, good luck and just tell them you like them, a clear answer(even rejection) is easier than uncertainty. They might say yes. But you wont know unless you chase them. Dont let them be taken by someone else and kill your feelings without even giving them a chance.

There’s this one person who whenever they come over to my house they’re always happy to see me. Interested in spending alone time with me while here, and also acts fairly nice towards me. Always dragging me along on their antics. But whenever they leave and I send them a text it feels like I don’t exist to them. Ignoring my messages, leaving me on read. Never trying to interact with me at all. It’s starting to get slightly annoying and idk what to do about it. Do I say something to them? As someone who does the hot and cold thing, I can tell you the reason why has to do with how nervous I'm feeling at that moment. But I wasn't actually aware that I was doing it for the longest time. Someone had to point it out to me before I became consciously aware of it, and then I stopped doing it. I still relapse occasionally though.

Before watching this i did the everthing that you've told perfectly that i realised that im not comfortable about how they think about me and a fear that they see me as a bad one
Im usually good with knowing if someone likes me or not and 99% of the time I get it right. EVEN IF I LIKE THEM. Weirdly this one is not so obvious.
Like he watches my stories on the media, but he doesnt react (normal). He knows what I share but dont react on them and share them indirectly from me. He has ALWAYS been present on calls with me and my friends ever since I started talking to him. He listens to me when I talk, but doesnt share much. And most suprising of them all he would joke about things like "hey its my coffee" LIKE WHAT THE?
I dont know if he likes me or hes just messing with me. I dont wanna confess outta nowhere too cause ive only known him for a month and even I myself an unsure if I like him romantically or I just like him in general (which happened before).

There's this girl I think I like and I'm getting mixed signals. But I also give mixed signals but she told me 1.5 year ago she didn't want that kind of relationship with me cuz she didn't know me that well but lately she's been asking me to visit her (I used to be the one asking) cuz I told her I was a bit down mentally and I rly enjoy being together with her and it made me feel alot better.
