I don’t think he was necessarily angry or hating or anything, I thought it was unusual as well. But only because whenever we see super sonic, he always flying, apart from the animations leading into his full speed animation (flying). But I’m not hating on it. On top of that Super’s running animation is more fluid than base sonic running. Super runs more like a human than base sonic does.

I like that you have EXE running too, I think EXE should run, and only start flying when Sonic picks up speed, like here 1:40
Also I think you should use either both modern sprites or both classic sprites. Having sonic.exe look modern while sonic is old looks out of place. Otherwise, this is good!
