- The moment we become God’s friend, we become Satan’s enemy and enter into the battle against temptation. While believers are still inclined toward sin, Alistair Begg reminds us that we are no longer slaves to its power. When we ask that God not lead us into temptation, it is because He shows us the way out of temptation. We can therefore confidently fight skirmishes against sin, knowing that Christ has already won the war.

He tollally preach a real Biblical reality in us man and woman that implies what the BIBLE really care to protect us from the sinful nature we are. That we may see God's protection from the evil one.
I AM SO.MUCH PERSUADED on Exalting God that really has to, Thank you Lord adding to my reference by listening to His Sermon preachin.
I am on the hunt for the answer to the question what does it mean “ lead me not into temptation “ , as James 1 says , as you know, God does not tempt man with evil. The Lord’s Prayer is the perfect prayer of a surrendered heart to God. It recognizes God for who he is, His provision, etc. it recognizes ourselves for who we are, it asks for power to forgive those who need forgiveness. Where I get hung up on your thoughts on the subject is, once we pray that prayer it seems to put the monkey on the back of God for my failure to resist temptation, I could then say, “ God I prayed for you to keep me from temptation, but you didn’t do it” . I know there is a correct answer to this dilemma, and your answer here may be it, however I don’t have peace with it yet. The answer you give doesn’t seem to hit the spot.

He allows it but doesn’t create it and it gives believers a chance test their own faith to see if it is strong enough to bear up under the temptation as Alistair says it is an inside job for no temptation is new and God provides a way out every time.
