Something that rarely gets mentioned is access to college teaching experience. You do NOT have to pay for your MFA if you apply and receive an assistantship. Typically, you pay off your assistantship through teaching lower level college courses. If you want to become a full-time professor, you must go the assistantship route when earning your post-grad degrees.

Does your program address the marketing side of getting published? From what I understand, publishers still expect you to do most of the marketing.
