  • Watch this sailing video to see how a day in a boatyard starts, how we get Sorin up the mast to install the ‘repaired’ (we hope!) anemometer. This leads to Ana’s climbing the mast too in order to clean some rust spotted on the shrouds.
Sailing is great, but the boatyard days are not easy and the jobs list never ends...Most jobs lead to other jobs and therefore the jobs list is ever growing which is a daunting prospect...But the day comes when the sailing boat launch is scheduled. Jobs completed or not, all projects are wrapped up getting ready for the big day.

Wondering is that’s another Raymarine wind indicator that failed?

Hi Trev, you are right. It is a Raymarine unit. After some lubrication and cleaning it’s working fine...for now 🙂 cheers

A shackle can fail . Wow. The rope never. Brilliant. Zero rigging experience

So, what you are saying is that two 14mm ropes and 2 shackles can fail at the same time under a 85kg load in a boatyard?! Wow!
