As a retired security specialist and locksmith, I really love looking at old locks. Have a padlock my great grandfather had, no name, just old and still works good. An old saying is " they don't make them the way they use to".
It’s like a puzzle! You’re amazing to start with bits and pieces, all the research, drawings, forging it, then tada! A lock. Great detective work. Love these videos!! Mary
Steve - your skills are amply demonstrated by the brilliant working recreation of this lock - great job!!! Hope to see you when we visit Jamestown - Paul
THANK YOU so much for these wonderful and educational videos. It's really fascinating to see the ingenuity that people who live way before our times come up with such inventions and how they work. Great job, y'all!!

Soooooo cool! Amazing to look at those old locks and to see what Stephen recreated.
Very interesting, although I was hoping we would get to see how the lock was actually made. Maybe on a future video?
Very interesting!
great commentary! Steve is very knowledgeable, and has the advantage of understanding the historic context as well as how the piece is made.
This is very interesting. Thanks👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

That was very interesting. I enjoyed that. Nice presentation. I agree that it would be nice to see how the lock was made.
Thanks for sharing! Its fun not only making the locks, but also figuring out how it was done and how each type functions.
