This is a Glacial Geek Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team Battle Report!
The Shrineworld had many facets to it. The most obvious was the massive Shrine Complex in the middle of the major population center of the planet. It was the reason the Sisters of Battle were garrisoned here. But there also existed other regions of the planet, a major one being the Promethium fields.
When word of mysterious disappearances and disrupted production got to the Adepta Sororitas forces on the planet, they sent a team to go investigate. What they discovered was worse than they could have imagined as Genestealers crawled out of the ducting and charged at the Battle Sisters. These xenos had to be purged before they rest of the Tyranid Hive Fleet could be signaled.
Will the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Hereticus be enough to stop the vanguard bioforms infiltrating their world? Watch and find out!

Those Genestealers should have all been concealed... you can't shoot them at all if they're concealed and in cover unless you get to within circle of them. Opponent gave you a bunch of freebies there!
Had a blast playing you Phil, can't wait for the next one! You are genuinely an awesome guy and such a great opponent. If anyone had any doubts, this guy is legit just a great dude!!
Genestealers have a 5+ invulnerable save so AP should not reduce the amount of save dice.

the pipes and tanks rig is good for the table, but also sooo realistic

Geenstealers always count as having a conceal order, you should have not been able to shoot them. Also they have an invulnerable save, so should not have reduced their dice.
When they have a conceal order, they are always treated as having a conceal order for the purposes of other rules such as vantage points.
However they are not always counted as concealed (if they have an engage order for example) and even if concealed they gain no benefit if they are not in cover.
Genestealers are strong but if left in the open or flanked they can absolutely be shot to pieces!

The Sisters are the Chamber Militant of the Ecclesiarchy. Adepta Sororitas are no longer part of the Inquisition. :) Good game as always! :)
At 10:45 when you shoot, doesn't the pipe in the middle make the target obscured ?
Thoughts on Double Rending Claws versus the Scything Talons? I don't see much reason to have Scything Talons when comparing the benefits of the extra damage on a critical versus the benefits of the relentless and rending characteristics on the Double Rending Claws.
First of all. You really, really have to take a listen to your theme on 2x speed. It's kinda great. :D
(Was first logged on in Nordics Play channel, watched the whole thing, even snapped like from there now that I think about it, then wanted to have the view on my own channel as well, so... Guess you'll be getting a second like too. :D)
But damn. That was brutal. And kinda weird. Don't really know how much shenanigans the stealers still have, but even against somewhat balanced force that was a struggle... Melee heavy really gets punished for doing its thing, 'cose you pretty much always get slapped back. Granted that one charge from you was glorious. Emperor certainly didn't care about that one... XD
Again thinking there'd need be a whole lot more terrain on these ones. I hope you gave the vertical wall a go while you were at the bunker. :D
I could see a really good player doing ok with a full on Gstealers list but I am not that talented... yet... muahhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
@@bingohomeslice5158 I mean... Maybe...? But when ever you go to strike, your opponent has to roll poorly or really poorly (depending is it T'au or Marine you're against) not to cause some damage to you. It's rarer that you can drop another model from full HP with one smack. And many a times the frontline is something that hits you hard back, even if they get only that one smack in. And even some T'au gunbutt does some damage, meaning you're already taking damage from doing the only thing you can do.
And if the opponent has anything that shoots, you're already taking damage you can't answer with your own...
Still not by any means impossible to go in all melee (especially if your opponent does the same), but surprisingly difficult considering this was supposed to be the close quarters skirmish isntead of the shooty-bangbang that the big game is... 🤔
i think terrain is ok, those pipelines are gold for the Hidden horror of the genestealers to stay in conceal even against rules like vantage point.
the hivemind did some weird stuff with those nids, with Hidden horror is better to get all stealers concealed turn1 since they don't shoot and won't make Charge distance; then turn2 pop the strategic for retaining a second save dice in cover when You flip them to engage, that way they remain untargatable turn1 and with better save turn2 against shotting when they can start smaking.
