I have owned Leatherman multitools for about 20 years, they still work like they did when i purchased them. If you buy leatherman then you should know you have purchased the best multi tool on the market. The company stands behind all their tools, send it back and they will fix it or send you a replacement. Trust me i sent my 20 year old Multi tool in for blade issues and they sent me a brand new one with no questions asked! Leatherman is a great company.
Valid complaints but I would have done some research on the problem or at the very least contacted Leatherman about it before I made a video about it. Obviously this guy wasn't that familiar with the tool or he would have bought the T10 Torx security bits and fixed it himself. Seems not many guys are do it yourselfers these days.
Two T10 Torx security bits and 5 minutes of your time adjusting the tension of the screws will fix the problem. Yes, you're right, not everyone is mechanical inclined so it's not his fault.
@@roninmetal83 You're not "fixing" anything. It's like saying your air conditioning device is too cold. Adjust it to your liking. You paid for that commodity. Get a Swisstool if you want a no brainer out of the box performer.
@@roy-battyt's not "adjusting" to your liking. These are obvious problems that nobody likes and shouldn't have. Although these are not serious problems, as many have already said, they didn't have such a thing
I bought a charge tti from ebay seller.. the tool is good except the bottle opener and bit driver lock button to release them doesent work properly.. i wonder if leatherman will fix it ?
Thanks, Tingster. This seems like an honest review. I'm glad you've done this in a calm, non-vindictive matter. I just ordered one, I'd be interested to compare mine to what you are showing on yours after it comes in and I use it a bit. The nice thing is that you haven't really shown any show-stoppers for the multi-tool. I'm still excited to use it. :)
I have same tool, to be honest, you have alignment issues, it could of been Made on a Friday right before quitting time? "Old Joke" Did you ever get a replacement for it? if so how did it go?
I got through as much as I could take. S33 blade steel? Can't tighten a screw to have the blade tension to your liking? I couldn't get through the rest, sorry. I have half a dozen Leatherman tools. Perfect in every way and a couple of them are worked hard. To those watching this video researching the Leatherman Charge tti.... Please don't let this deter you from getting one. They are fantastic.
sounds like you got a slightly defective tti i checked all your concerns against my one and mines fine, straight and tight, no wobble and centered blades and all id get in contact with leatherman about it there very good
there's a little notch on the back of the blade that holds it .make sure the notch is clean .sorry about your tti .i have the wave use it constantly .it'seems to be the best for the money .sometimes you can get them for 50 bucks . i would like to see replacement blades i have used the file/sharpener so much that they have become a little dull .i would like to replace the lanyard loop and use the add on loop and clip at the same time .
I've had a Charge Titanium for about three years now and i've never had the problems you're having with blades being loose and rubbing against the case. I suspect if you contacted leatherman they will provide a replacement because your complaints are valid. I had a super tool that i broke blades on (wgile misusing it as a prybar) and when i contacted leatherman they replaced it without so much as a second thought. Their after sales service, from my experience, is excellent.

YOUR EXPERIENCE IS ALL BASED ON LUCK
LEATHERMAN TREATS EVERYONE BASED ON LUCK
NOT THE SAME8////
It just needs a tightening, real simple.

you shouldn't have to fix it yourself after paying a premium price for what is supposed to be a top of the range multitool

I think you just need to tighten it
you kidding me, is this serious fixes are easy... or send it back
um um um um um um um. That says everything about the user....
i had the same problem with my TTI , tighten up the screws solved the problem

He has leatherman but doesnt know how to tighten 2 screws. This is hillarious

Thanx Tingster, did you contact Leatherman, I think it's defective, or it just might need tightening and adjusted, contact them.
I tightened it slightly, and seems to be better. I still use it, just didn't like the weak points.

Id say we are splitting hairs
really appreciate the two cents. as i'm considering a TTI
Surely as long as the blade locks solid and stays closed, a lose blade is a good thing, look at any benchmade with an axis lock.
What do u think of free p4
Yeah I believe you got a bad one, like a guy on said, notify Leatherman an send it back, they'll fix it or get you a new one.

I guess if you really want to, you can find "fault" with anything being made
It's mostly because of the liner-lock, which I always try to stay away from. I'll go for a Victorinox Swisstool X for those axis locks on every tools.
file/blade is too loose, tighten it!
Who cares if the wire cutter doesn't cut paper? Does it cut wire?
You have scissors on the charge
ICEjjFishFan Wire cutter...not coat hanger cutter.
it's a security t10
Mine is flawless.
