  • The conclusion of “The Longest Day,” while grocery shopping I became very disoriented and confused. However, I did NOT drive after becoming disoriented.

Thank you so much for the support! I agree the new store and environment was just too much all at once.

Lisa, I had seen this once before, but felt I should view it again. It was helpful to see it in the context of your day leading up to going to the store. But it was still hard to watch, because we care about you see much and hate to see you struggling in this way. i know you have better days, and will have better days in the future. I can express enough how much admiration I have for your willingness to document all of this and share it with people. I see that you number of subscribers to this channel continues to grow, so you obviously are reaching people and touching lives, and I hope you can see that. Please keep up this important work.

I agree with Isaiah, I hate to see you going through this, but I think it's good that you are documenting it, both for your boys and because it may help other people. PS: I love shopping at Aldi's, too, even though we don't have any here in Maine. I go to Aldi's in Michigan when I visit my sisters. And... I hate it when they re-arrange a store! A year or so ago all the Walmart stores were changing things all around It is so confusing, whether one has dementia or not!

Your ';fits and starts' remind me of my Lewy Body husband - his physical and cognitive experiences are definately affected by cold temperatures and allergies. A couple of years ago we spent a year in the Wash DC area (caring for a preemie granddaughter) so we were able to experience Aldi stores - loved them! We are back in Oregon - we have Trader Joes here but no way can we afford to shop there - both stores were developed by brothers.

I found out a day later that I had a huge amount of water behind my ears. The allergy medicine helped so much. Thank you for letting me know, I wondered if the cold and weather was behind a lot of it.

I have just finished the trilogy .. Your son in episode 2 was brilliant .. And how proud you must be .. And relived too.
I did wonder about going around a new store and light it could be challenging ... But then it's those blinking meds again! Can you ask one of the boys to check that you are taking meds OK? Perhaps they could set up a chart .. And tick it off with you that you have taken correct meds each time. This is so difficult for you ... But they can help you with this to try to avoid this happening.. Just a thought.
Also .. Do you forget to eat and drink? Can you eat breakfast with the boys .. And do you have coffee shop at grocery store that you can go to if you realise you are hungry ... Agh! It is so difficult and must be so frustrating for you! Xox

Thank you, I'm so proud of my son for going with me! I bought a release time pill dispenser, so I feel much safer about taking my meds! There is no coffee shop in Aldi's

It is rare over here for a grocery store not to have a coffee shop. Twirls be so useful for you. EAT!!! DRINK !!! :-). Take care my friend!

Aldi's is a discount grocery store, no frills. lol However, of the 4 grocery stores in my town, only one has a coffee shop in it.

Is there someone who can help you with dispensing your meds? I know when my gram starting mixing up morning and evening meds she needed some help with it
