From your sources: 10672: Ruling on a person touching the Qur’aan without wudoo’, and the meaning of the hadeeth, “The believer is never impure” i would like to know if it is haram to hold and recite the quran (which does not include any translation or comments) without having ablution. Because, i have heard a hadith where the prophet (saw) said: a believer is always pure even in the state of janaba. Praise be to Allaah. Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz was asked a similar question, and he said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to touch the Qur’aan when he does not have wudoo, according to the majority of scholars. This is the view of the four imaams (may Allaah be pleased with them), and this was the view expressed in the fatwas of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). A saheeh hadeeth concerning that has been narrated from ‘Amr ibn Hazm (may Allaah be pleased with him), stating that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wrote to the people of Yemen: “No one should touch the Qur’aan except one who is taahir (pure).” This is a jayyid hadeeth which has a number of other isnaads which strengthen it. Hence it is known that it not permissible to touch the Qur’aan except in a state of purity from both major and minor impurity. The same applies to moving it from place to place, if the person who is moving it is not taahir. But if he touches it or moves it with something in between, such as picking it up in a wrapper, then it is OK. But if he touches it directly when he is not taahir, this is not permitted according to the saheeh view of the majority of scholars, for the reasons stated above. With regard to reciting it, it is OK for him to recite it from memory when he is without wudoo’, or for him to read it if the Qur’aan is held by someone who asks him to correct or prompt him. But the person who is junub, i.e., in a state of major impurity, should not recite Qur’aan, because it was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that nothing ever kept him from reciting Qur’aan except for janaabah (major impurity). Ahmad narrated with a saheeh isnaad from ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out from the toilet and recited something from the Qur’aan. He said, “This is for the one who is not junub; but the one who is junub should not do this, not even one aayah.” The point is that the one who is junub should not recite Qur’aan either from the Mus-haf or from memory, until he has taken a bath (ghusl). But the one who has broken his wudoo’ and is impure in the sense of minor impurity may recite Qur’aan from memory but she should not touch the Mus-haf. Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), 10/150 With regard to the hadeeth about the purity of the believer, it was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: “I was met by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and I was junub. He took my hand and I walked with him until he sat down. Then I slipped away and washed myself (ghusl), then I came to where he was sitting. He said, ‘Where were you, O Abu [Hurayrah]?’ I told him, and he said, ‘Subhaan-Allaah, O Abu [Hurayrah]!, the believer does not become impure.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Ghusl, 276; Muslim, al-Hayd, 556). Al-Nawawi said in his Commentary on Saheeh Muslim: this hadeeth illustrates a great principle that the Muslim is taahir whether he is alive or dead. If his purity is established, then his sweat, saliva and tears are all pure too, whether he (or she) is without wudoo’, in a state of major impurity (junub), menstruating or bleeding after childbirth. Once this is understood, then the meaning of his being pure (tahhir) will become clear. It means that there is nothing to prevent his body from being essentially pure even when at the same time he has broken his wudoo’, because being without wudoo’ is simply something that prevents one from praying, or doing other things for which tahaarah (purity) is a pre-condition. And Allaah knows best. Islam Q&A Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid

He obviously seems to think that he has the authority to speak on Fiqh so if he thinks he has the authority, then I think it's acceptable to look to him for Fiqh. @@nady2265 1. Okay, I accept you did not say that "you can't consult him at all". You're saying that I am not qualified to speak on these issues, but when did I say that I was qualified?? Now you are putting words into my mouth...... I'm not qualified. Never said that was. Zakir Naik, however, is qualified. And since he's qualified, if he is giving rulings on Fiqh, then he believes he is fit to give those rulings, so it's not haram to follow them. Remember that though our scholars may have different rulings, we should never divide ourselves as Muslims.

My dear brothers and sisters, it is clearly said in Suratul Waqiah verse: 79 لَّا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ None touch it except the purified. Similar thing has been mention in hadith, where it say don’t touch quran without purity. حديث عمرو بن حزم رضي الله عنه : أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كتب إلى أهل اليمن : أن لا يمس القرآن إلا طاهر If you wish to know more then take a look at the tafseers book such as; Ibn Katheer, Surah Waqiyah verse:79 My dear brothers/sisters don’t be misguided by some self claimed scholars who can not pronounce even Arabic words correctly! Jazakellahukhair
Fear Allah my brother, refer to Tafseer (e.g, Ibn Katheer) - i translate: [(Which none touches but the pure ones.) "It does not refer to you, because you are sinners!'' Ibn Zayd said, "The Quraysh disbelievers claimed that the devils brought down the Qur'an. Allah the Exalted stated that only the pure ones touch the Qur'an]
ISLAAH MEDIA If tats d case, then non Muslims shudnt b allowed to touch d Quran... isn't it?? Let me remind u brother...tis Quran is not only for Muslims...it's for whole of mankind... Allah knows d best
From verse 56:78, who is able to reach Loh Mahfuz? "إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ" Al-Waaqia (56:77) "Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an" Al-Waaqia (56:77) "فِي كِتَابٍ مَكْنُونٍ" Al-Waaqia (56:78) "In a Register well-protected;" Al-Waaqia (56:78) "لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ" Al-Waaqia (56:79) "None touch it except the purified." Al-Waaqia (56:79)
Yeah! In my opinion, he is right. If not then what about non Muslims who have no idea about wudu? And as Allah says (Quran 56:79) "which (The Quran) none shall touch but those who are pure". So as a non Muslim touches the Quran without wudu, this verse of the Quran is proved wrong. And we believe the Quran is from our creator because there is no mistake in it.

Imagine holding words from your Creator in your hands.. I mean words that come literally from Allah. A book which Allah said would have made a mountain humble himself if He had revealed to him. A book which contains healing, both spiritual and physical, blessings, mercy and guidance from Allah Himself. I mean maybe you can touch it without wudu, I don't know, Allah knows best. I feel you should be pure in mind body and soul when you touch it, meaning your state of mind as well as your intentions and yes bodily pure as well if you intend to reap it's full benefits. Maybe I'm going to far, but I guess that depends on how far you're trying to go. Assalamualaikum, Ramadan Mubarak... Allah knows best
@@byteme9718 there are no mistakes in the Quran... Mistakes usually come from men's interpretation of scripture due to misunderstandings or when, Allah forbid, when their motives or intentions are not pure... And Allah knows best
@@byteme9718 do every living thing was not created from water? Or was there not a big bang or in the big bang theory? I'm confused even scientist outside of the religion of Islam will testify to this. And that's good you have questions concerning what's in the Quran, some have argued and never even read a verse. But Allah knows best
@@byteme9718 so you're saying all beings and everything in the creation comes from carbon and the big bang theory never existed? And you read the Quran with the intentions of getting a detailed description? Do you not need water to create water and everything in existence, where's your proof? And also you find carbon in the the soil, do you not, was man not created from the mud, water+ soil= mud? Was you looking for the complete recipe in that verse? Does every living being not come from water? Is the statement a lie (21:30) provide your proof of you're truthful
@@byteme9718 also the human body is made up of up to 60% water, the lungs over 80%& the heart over 70%!!!! So I would venture to say that water, not carbon is the primary source. But once again Allah knows best
In addition the main sources of carbon dioxide are from ocean release (water) and from respiration( from humans who are made of water) naturally, or from burning fossils, which were once made of water, Forest fires( from trees that contain water) ... Where's your proof¿?
Oh Alhamdulillah JazakAllah Khair u have made easy for us to read Quran Alhamdulillah

Its mentioned in the hadith, in a letter written to yemen, Prophet(saw) instructing people, none shall touch Quran except muthahireen. Majority of scholars interpret from this, wudu is essential for touching the Quran. This is the correct opinion.

From your sources:
10672: Ruling on a person touching the Qur’aan without wudoo’, and the meaning of the hadeeth, “The believer is never impure”
i would like to know if it is haram to hold and recite the quran (which does not include any translation or comments) without having ablution. Because, i have heard a hadith where the prophet (saw) said: a believer is always pure even in the state of janaba.
Praise be to Allaah.
Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz was asked a similar question, and he said:
It is not permissible for a Muslim to touch the Qur’aan when he does not have wudoo, according to the majority of scholars.
He said, “This is for the one who is not junub; but the one who is junub should not do this, not even one aayah.”
The point is that the one who is junub should not recite Qur’aan either from the Mus-haf or from memory, until he has taken a bath (ghusl). But the one who has broken his wudoo’ and is impure in the sense of minor impurity may recite Qur’aan from memory but she should not touch the Mus-haf.
Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), 10/150
With regard to the hadeeth about the purity of the believer, it was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: “I was met by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and I was junub.
Islam Q&A
Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid
The hadith that you quoted uses the word "purity," but watch the video again and you'll see Dr. Naik explains that the word for "pure" doesn't mean "with Wudu."
@@UmarTahir unfortunately dr zakir is not a student of fiqh his teacher taught him comparative of religion...but if you think its ok to touch a pure book without wudoo then you go ahead... would you feed a piece of food which fell on the floor to your parents or your child without first washing it? you have answered it...
@@nady2265 Then why not just wash your hands instead of wasting water and doing a whole wudu? Especially because there is a hadith where the Prophet SAW directly says “Do not waste water even if you were at a running stream." Meanwhile, there is no hadith which actually directly says you have to do wudu to read Quran, only that you have to be in a state of purity.
Lastly, Dr. Naik is still a globally recognized scholar, so I think he would be honest if he realized he couldn't speak on Fiqh issues. He obviously seems to think that he has the authority to speak on Fiqh so if he thinks he has the authority, then I think it's acceptable to look to him for Fiqh. Not that one scholar should be the only source you consult, but I disagree with your statement that you shouldn't consult him at all because he's not a student of Fiqh, as he believes he is authorized to speak on that topic.
Assalam aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh! 😁
@@UmarTahir "Shouldnt consult him at all" can you firstly point out where in my statement I have said these words... you can not as I have not stated this but like automated machine you put words in to ppls mouth... please refrain from doing such bad actions... 2ndly you have stated a hadith can you please quote the hadith and provide evidence...you can not say a hadith states this or the other with out proof.... thirdly a person who answers anything that concerns Islam like fiqh issues must be qualified and would state that I have studied under this teacher or so but you have stated "I think it's ok because he thinks ect ect " this subject is not about thinking but about having evidence. This is why ppl study nahv sarf ajramiyah and read and understand the arabic text and they are given Ijazah from their teachers to go and spread the right knowledge not think as you put it brother....

@@nady2265
1. Okay, I accept you did not say that "you can't consult him at all". Let me rephrase what I meant: You're *implying,* not outright *saying,* that because he's not a student of fiqh that you can't consult him at all *on matters of fiqh.* And that's where I was disagreeing
2. abuaminaelias.com/dailyhadithonline/2013/08/19/conserve-water-flowing-stream/
