How he says "She's district, she knows WE hate her". I feel he is including himself in the WE hate the district, as I do hope this movie shows that Snow wasn't this heroic good guy who lost Lucy and that's what made him evil. The book to me implies that even before the end of the book way earlier that he's a very bad person that maybe became more bad later in life.
Yess I think that he somewhat loved Lucy but still used her for his own needs. And when he went to district 12 and realized that she had more than himself than he went nuts caused he viewed her as his own personal object.
@@BrianCisneros-dp7wgYeah, I remember there was a moment in the book where it was shown that he enjoyed the idea that she belongs to him and that other people in the capital see her as his. After catching feelings for her Corio would often say she wasn’t realy district because covey used to live on the road and not asociate with any district. He used to think of her as a person who belonged in the capitol but ended up in district as a mistake. And that it maybe could get fixed in the future. It’s almost like he had to raise her up because loving an ordinary district person would be to low for him. We know Snow was obsessed with power and control. Lucy Gray was the wildest thing he had ever seen. But he met her in her most vulnerable moment, when she had to depend on him. And he loved that. Did he loved her? He was definitely obsessed with her. But durring the games he always cared a bit more about winning for his future in the university then for her actualy staying alive which speaks volume
I think trauma of war made Corio very selfish, focused on survival. Tigris and Sejanus are clearly good, empathetic and etical people. Dr. Gaul was pure evil, enjoyed cruelty. You can see Corio balancing in the middle, taking from both sides depending on what was convinient. Unfortunately in this world it was more benefical to be ruthless so he leaned on the bad side too much and fallen in deep

The moment in the Capital Zoo where the other mentor got attacked, remember in the book Lucy has to yell at Snow to save her and Snow clearly also only does it because he sees cameras filming them. It comes off like if Lucy didn't tell him to help and there weren't cameras there Snow wouldn't have done anything.

Man, I wish they would make a mini series on the war and the first hunger games. It would be so interesting!
With Snow’s perspective you get to see the side of why they had the hunger games anyways and it makes sense. It’s not supposed to be a great thing they just want control.
I just finished re-reading the book yesterday. Everything about this movie looks incredible. I absolutely cannot wait.

I have seen all of ten seconds of the red haired girl who smirks when Lucy is reaped and I already hate her more than Snow. Not sure of full story yet (no spoilers), but I know she DESERVES that snake.
Don't worry Snow shoots her in the back in the 3rd act as he slowly embraces his evil streak
She's the mayor's daughter who forced her dad to rig the names of the ballot to only lucy because she's dating a boy she likes 💀
This prequel moved me a lot, especially in the romantic relationship between Corolanus Snow and Lucy Gray Baird. The attraction between the two was magical. I can't believe this relationship ended like that at the end of the film when Lucy Gray disappears without explanation. I'm sure they saw each other again afterwards. Where has Lucy Gray gone? She couldn't return to District 12 because she would have been arrested. She probably went to District 13. Did she become the president of District 13? Did she join the resistance? And Snow, what did he do before becoming president of Panem? Did he secretly see Lucy Gray again? If so, has she tried to change him, to soften him, to make him good? Did they have a secret romantic relationship without either the Capitol or District 13 knowing? Did they have a child together? There is still so much to know about their lives when they were 30 or 40 or 50! I sincerely hope that there will be a sequel to this prequel because I have never felt so much desire to know the sequel to a film!
Am I spoiling it for my self? Yes. Is it different than the book? Yes. Am at all concerned? No. Is High-As-A-Kite Bottom supposed to be that short? No he’s like as tall as Snow😭

She dresses like this because she’s a performer, I’m sure she knew the mayors daughter would go after her and so why not dress up for it? She wants to appeal to the capital. She even had a song to sing on the stage

I’m confused what happened with Rachel and Snow White?
She's been badmouthing the OG snow while on press tour and during interviews, which is bold considering the OG of the OG 1930s Snow White was a complete game changer for cinema. It's considered one of, if not THE, first 2D animated full-length feature film. Brings a whole new meaning to "don't bite the hand that signs your paycheck" basically Ziegler kept going on about the original Snow White was weak and too trusting of others that according to Ziegler, this generation needs to update Snow White into a strong feminist female lead, even that's hardly Necessary
She claimed that the movie Snow White scared her as a child plus that she wanted to give a new, fresh, empowering look to Snow White. She found upsetting that she was a minor and the prince was double her age and that she wasn't shown as a strong character but too much naive and too reliant on the prince.
This made anti-feminists lose their heads completely.
Apparently it's easier to pretend that our childhood idols are perfect rather than to face that times are luckly changing.

I was really disappointed with this movie. Of course the book is almost always better but i mean damn. The pacing was off, the important character building moments were rushed like boom, all a sudden Snow and Lucy are in love. There was no build-up to the betrayal with Sejanus in 12, all the interaction with the Plinths was cut. Tigress was barely in the movie..The games were stupid...no mention of Dr. Gaul erasing all trace of them. And i know its a small thing but i loved how Book Coriolanus was a snobby little cupcake that just wanted to have a cushy desk job and plenty of time for teaparties. Idk i thought it sucked.

I never read critics' opinions or those of regular people before watching a movie ... since I missed a lot of good movies cuz I listened to them in the past. Those times are thankfully over. Nowadays I prefer to think for myself and be the judge of that.
If I'm interested in a movie, that's ALL that matters for me.
This is also the reason why I don't give a 💩 about the actor's personal lives or their opinions, neither political nor social ones.
F.e. I'll definitely watch the movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", cuz I really liked the first movie and want to know how it evolves ( and no bad energy oozing from social media will hinder me from it ).

Yes, they ruined a movie by casting someone who caused controversy long after the entire thing was filmed and edited already. This isn't Eric Stoltz getting fired from Back to the Future after two weeks of filming. They actually finished the movie. What were they going to do, scrap it completely and blow millions of dollars to reshoot it?
To be fair the movie was finished being filmed way before the controversy. But I do feel like it is going to bomb in box office because of the so much hate Rachel is getting.
