- Watch as I open up 5 packages from Ebay with tons awesome Funko Pop Vinyl figures including 2 Chase figures. Overall I paid less then $5 a figure in this video. I also open up a few Funko Hikari figures to add to my collection.

I still like the look of funko pops better than hikari's even at the same price.
I like them both pretty equally but Hikaris just feel like a better toy so at equal price I would grab the Hikari. Either way they are both fun to collect to me.
I want to see you add 3 new studios just for making TH-cam videos. One with just a wall of comics as a backdop. The other with nothing but rows of Pops on the shelves. Finally one that is totally dedicated to CoolKidTV (TM). Make it so (even if you have to purchase the tenement building next door for the space).
That is how I want to do it, my long turn goal if I get a big enough audience that can support it is to get a small warehouse so I can set up lots of little sets and even more intricate special sets for some videos without it delaying or effecting other videos. I did sort out my comic collect in this room and have 8 short boxes of comics that are full of Key Issues, interesting variants and comics worth at least $10. I plan on doing a 4-8 part series highlighting the collection so I will probably do a nice comic background for that. Hopefully I can set something up so I can easily change out the comics. I would love to be able to set up a backdrop anytime I want. If I am doing a Star wars Funko Pop video, it would be cool to quickly set up a back drop of Star Wars comics etc. That is the plan, I know it will happen I just do not know how fast.
Haha! You're thinking big. I was kind of joking. I can't even bring myself to clear off a desk covered in comics, packaging, and papers just to have a dedicated space. Do you have a specific comics section in your store or are they sort of scattered about throughout the store?
Haha, I always think big that how I ended up having my own Vinyl toy manufactured in 2006 without an audience to buy it LOL I would love to do more of that one day as well. But honestly I have wanted to make a museum for many decades so that is one reason I started youtube, I figured the only way I can get any of my crazy dreams to come true is to build an audience who wants to join me on my crazy ride lol
I do have a specific section for comics in the shop. But usually only 2-3 long boxes worth. I actually try to display back issues kinda like new releases a little bit with stacks of 20-40 different ones in each stack with the same character in the stack. So a stack of Batman related comics, Punisher related comics, Iron Man related comics etc. I would really love to expand the wall but room is so tight in my shop and comics account for a few sales a day nothing spectacular. I also have key issues and stuff selling for more then $5 in a small glass cabinet. We get a lot of theft in the shop so those I like making a little harder to look through.
I enjoy the detail on the hikari figures but i couldn’t see myself collecting them. The size of them reminds me of those ventriloquist dolls and they creep me out lol.

Thank you, I am happy you are enjoying the video. Yes it is kinda like Beanie babies, when they vault a Funko Pop, people tend to start going crazy trying to get the figure and the prices jump up. I have seen things like Howard The Duck and American Horror Story go from Pops no one wanted and all over for $5 to stuff people were hunting down and paying $15 to $25 in a matter on months. It is kinda crazy but I think it adds a little fun to the hunt.

I don't collect Funko Pops, but 5 dollars each is a good deal. I also saw some on clearance at Target for 3 dollars before..but I don't remember which ones.

I think I like pops better then hikari because I don't have the room for them. Is it possible to take a tour of your pops/ hikari?
Now that makes sense lol Here is a thought though Hikari has a lot less releases, I think less then 500 where as Pops there are 5000-6000 so overall it would take less room to have Hikari if you were a completionist. Also if room is a concern I would think 2-3 really nice figures on a shelf would be nicer then 5-6 nice but not as detailed figures. Eitherway I love both figures and I am addicted haha Yes a collection tour is in the works, I just need to figure out how and where I am going to set them all up.

I've never really gotten into Hikaris mostly first due to the price & then due to the size. They look well made/designed but I'm running out of space to put reg. sized pops so can't imagine picking up anything larger. Even just the 6'' pops take up so much space! *sigh*
Yeah, especially with so many figures coming out its impossible to keep up with what you like. I personally would probably prefer a shelf of 6 Hikaris then 10-12 pops on display. At least since they have sold so badly I can pick them up now for just a little more then Pops.
Are you kidding me , you complained so much without even stopping to think the guy basically sold you all them pops for $15 and you paid for shipping , he made like no money off that sale , and your gonna go sell the majority of them damaged or not and make a good little tidy profit off them .. I bought the lot on ebay, when you buy stuff on ebay you expect the items to arrive as described. It does not matter if he sold it too cheap, did not charge enough for shipping or if I am buying the items for my collection of to sell. The seller has the obligation to package items well so they arrive in good shape. How often have you purchased something on ebay and it arrived badly packaged and beat up? Does it matter how much the guy got after fees and shipping, or how much you spent total? I could have asked for a refund or returned the damage items for a full refund but I did feel bad for the guy having to spend so much on shipping so I did not. I am really not sure why you are so upset about that? I guess everytime you had something shipped to you poorly and damaged you were happy and excepted it.
Just check this video. Great as usual. I check on ebay again. I see a seller with many pops to sell... at very low price... maybe too much low than it's look strange. But it's a top seller. Maybe I will take a chance with one or two bid (they are at their start... maybe it's why they are so low).
Stuff will get bid up but its worth a chance you never know when you will win a lot.
Personally, I would rather just go ahead and get both the Funko Pop and Hikari Captain America figures. Both look cool in their own right.
Ans that is why I own both haha. I agree with you though I enjoy both. I guess my question is why do people go crazy paying high prices for rare Funko Pops but could care less about the Hikari. It just seems very weird to me.
There are certain things that make a pop 200-300 dollars Peter perfect is limited 750 and it only goes for 30-50 bucks but to each there own
I know its probably just me, but there is nothing I see in a Funko Pop that makes me want to spend $200-$300 purely on the quality of the figure or how awesome it is. At that point people are paying for rarity and a fear of missing out of a higher value. For me its a trade off because my budget is limited and there is so much I want to own. For $200-$300 I can buy 1-2 maybe even 3 Really awesome Sideshow Hot Toy Figures or a more limited Sideshow Marquette that is on sale or 2-3 really awesome ThreeA robots or action figures or 5-6 new Kotobukiya Statues or a Key Silver Age Comic Book or 2-3 vintage Star Wars or G.I. Joe toys MOC. There are so many other items that are in the $100-$300 range that I find just more appealing and more awesome then paying for a rare version of a $10 toy. And In fact I have spent $100-$200 on a one of a kind custom made Funko Pop that is really awesome so I rather have that in that budget range. But you are right there are some limited Pops people are not paying for and then there are some like the Batman Zur En Arrh that had 5000-10000 made and people at one point were paying $200. My point is a lot of folk are paying a lot of money for Pops for reason other then how awesome the figure is. That is not the best way to collect anything in the long run if you want to collect for happiness, satisfaction of collecting or even value.

My opinion, I would rather have the pop when it comes to both of those items, those things are ugly. Of course this is only my opinion and different people have different tastes and if you like them then that is all that should matter and they are awesome deals for you so go for it.

I own a Pop Culture store so a lot of my collecting is looking for collections and selling off what I do not want or need. I aim to break even or make a small profit on every collection while adding to my own collection. My how to collect videos have a lot of tips and tricks on how to collect more for less money.

What is diff from a regular funko.. to a chase
The chase Funko Pops are figures that are more limited in some cases. For newer cases the ones with chases would have 1 Chase figure for every 6 in a case. The older cases had 1 figure in every 36 in a case.

My shops located in Brooklyn, NY and its called PopFuzz. The Hikari figures I paid $20 for the Gigantor and I think $25 for Captain America. $77 for the lot of 13 pops that had the 2 chase figures and 135 for the large box of 36 items. all prices were shipped from ebay.

how do I search boxes like that on ebay
Start with the simple search funko lot or funko pop lot. Then try other variations and also click search description. Most of the Ebay lots I posted in this video and the few others from the last week I purchased right before comic con. Its definitely one of the best times to buy lots like this because a lot of people are saving for comic con pops and not spending on ebay so prices dip for a few weeks.

Holy moley! You bought a box for $130 and got free shipping and it cost the guy $115!!! That is terrible. I feel so bad for that guy.
Nah I paid $20 for shipping was $110+ $20 shipping. I think he made a mistake and paid priority when he could have shipped UPS ground or USPS parcel post either one would probably be close to the $20-$40 mark. I am not sure what he did, I do feel kinda bad for him but there is not much I can do its after the fact. Either way I did not complain about the shipping job and ask for a refund lol, normally I would have since so much arrived squashed.

What are the search phases u use when searching for lots on ebay?
Funko Pop lot and then I add one term for what I am focusing on. For instance Funko Pop Lot Adventure time then I click on seach descriptions.

Magic erasers sometimes, rubbing alcohol sometimes, sonic bath sometimes for certain stains. depends on where the paint is on the figure.
what's so special about these little toys anyway I came across this men at target wandering up and down looking for these toys
Well these toys are super hot right now with many exploding in value as soon as they come out so there will be a lot of people frantically searching Target etc looking for the ones with higher value. Imagine the boxes having $20 bills tapped to the occasionally box or even a $50 bill, you would probably be taking a glance wandering up and down the toy aisle as well. But in all honestly most people who collect them love Pop culture or some of the TV series or movies that the figures represent so they like to collect them because it makes them happy to have a piece of their favorite things at home. The cool thing about Funko is the get the license to so many shows and movies that no other company makes toys for so there is almost a Funko Pop for every fandom. Something that interested anyone from a 3 year old child to a 50 year old adult etc. Most people think they are kinda silly until they find that one that the connect with then its 2, 4, 8 .... 100+ collected lol They are very addicting.

I try to buy everything for 50% market value to double my money. But I also try to keep 1 of each figure that I like for my own collection and over the years many of the figures have gained a ton of value. I am sure one day the market will crash, but I am having fun collecting along the way and I have made a profit while doing that so if they all tank to $0 value I would not be at a loss.

That Limited edition Captain America absolutely kicked the ass of Funko Cap. It was brutal....horrifying to watch. I mean that showdown was like if Frank Miller did a Dark Knight version of Cap....very violent. Mature Audiences only. Just shocking!
Haha that is kinda how I feel. I mean if Funko Pops are $10 and Hikari is $80 I can see why you might pick the Pop since its so much cheaper but when People are paying $100-$200-$300 or more for a Pop that is limited to 250 but wont buy the Hikaris that are the same limit or Less then it makes no sense to me. I am definitely adding more to my collection if they are $15-$25 I much prefer them. I even picked up the Asian Devil one for $75 because he was limited to 88 and very cool looking. I also like that they have a cool style to them, the way they are stylistically painted and sculpted.
I'm not a toy collector but last year I bought a Bandai Taikoyaku Storm Trooper for close to $100 on an impulse. But unlike the pops, the incredible amount of detail, accessories and painting make those figures worthy of the price. Plus they are imported.
Yah those things are bad a$$. I drool over them every time I see them. I always film them in my Tamashi Nations booth tour videos. I think occasionally they can be found cheaper on sale. But that is exactly what I mean when I say when Pops start selling for $100 I rather buy something like that.

Oh when it comes to ebay, I rarely find that I personally buy from the same seller more then once. There is not one special seller with deals, what you want to look out for is people selling a full collection clearing space and willing to sell semi cheaply. Not someone who regularly tries to make a profit on pops etc.
