Guys, it sounds like fans are getting overconfident. The Commanders have a tough running offense and JD is the real deal. They put extraordinary pressure on opposing defenses. They have some monsters on the D Line and added Lattimore at CB. We are underdogs for a reason. Have hope and pride, but don’t be foolish about the matchup.
The Commanders also have looked anemic on offense too. What happened against the Bears? Lattimore is good but Pickens has gone against Surtain and Gardner so he won't be intimidated. The real key is this..if the Steelers from last year beat this team, I don't think it would surprise a lot. That was with a limited offense. If the offense can continue the trend of scoring close to 30 points, this is an offense this defense has had the luxury of playing with in years.
I agree with you and I’m cautiously optimistic, but our offense looked good against the Giants and Jets. We need to continue to improve and develop a consistent offensive unit. On defense, we have struggled against the run multiple times, including vs Tyrone Tracy in the last game. That is an area that needs to improve bc our next 9 opponents can all run. I like what I’ve seen from the team, but our level of play won’t win a division title. We need to keep elevating. Go Steelers.
Hey Matt, here’s a mailbag question for you. I know this a stretch, meaning unlikely…But do you think it’s possible for Trevor Lawerence could end up in Pittsburgh? I know he just signed a contract. I’m asking because things haven’t panned out in Jacksonville. There’s a sense of under achievement. At some point the Jags are going to start to redo things. Meaning move on from players. Are the Steelers going to throw to open up the run? My guess is they’re(WA) going to put eight in the box and test the run game. Who’s the next best corner besides Lattimore/Saftey?
We have to stop the run keep them held behind the 1st down marker on throws cover well on the deep ball and if the offense is clicking this game will definitely be an easy one Jayden has yet to face an D line like the Steelers he's faced gold secondarys but nothing like Watt Highsmiith Heyward

Not gonna front. That bengals/ravens game got me feeling pretty confident about division play. Steelers I think will beat the commanders comfortably.
Their offenses look electric but both defenses are also not great
