However, this was the studio audio and I have read the live version is ... different. We can only wait for the DVD to hear the live audio and see how much it differs of course.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As an eyewitness at the venue, I guarantee that the live audio of this song with Kami Band had more power and heaviness to stir your feelings. I assume Amuse is currently releasing MVs with live footage + studio sound, in other words "imperfect live video", on purpose, because they have to block their "real live videos" by copyright strike in order to sell them in a form of Blu-ray/DVD. After some two-year long hiatus, this is a good tool to remind people of the attractiveness of BABYMETAL and gain new fans, I believe. High and low undulation of Su's voice with maturity and sharp moves by Moa and Momoko disordered my emotions 😱. Although I was too mesmerized to digest everything at the live debut, I finally grasped its artistry as a whole by this MV. I am looking forward to seeing the live performance of this song again in two-day shows on April 1/2, yes I have the tickets ヽ(^o^)丿
Babymetal are always unpredictable with what they do musically, and this is true to form for them as a hybrid pop/metal act. Interestingly enough, the live version sounded heavier than the studio audio in this video; the guitars were more forward in the mix and the piano less pronounced, so it had a more metal vibe. I believe that the crowd for each night was about 15,000.
@@Grington300 I’ve not seen an official figure, but that’s the figure Kevin from the Babymetal Podcast said, and from what I saw when I was there, that sounds about right. My initial guess was around 10,000, but 15,000 could be right; it definitely wasn’t 25,000.
@@Icipher353 Fair enough, I've seen anything from 20k to 25k being mentioned (and 25k most frequently), but not less until now and (to be fair I don't know exactly how it works there but) they had Makuhari Messe configured with at least two of the areas being opened (it was 8-9k for Legend 1997 with just one area). But what am I saying and what do I know, you were there, I wasn't.
@@Grington300 I believe they can theoretically fit 12,000+ per hall. But with the stage setup and security areas it was almost certainly a lot less than the theoretical limit.
The most impactful of the so far released songs from the new album. My very first exposure to this song was at Makuhari Live on the last January 29th in the Super MOSH’SH PIT!! With Kami-Band's crazily spirited performanse, amazing choreo with some Japanese tastes/Butoh texture, and SU-METAL’ｓSirenic Voice matured to have redoubled lethality as well, the melancholy but intense beautiful melody line gave me goosebumps from the intro. Knockout at first sight/first listen, BABYMETAL’s killer masterpiece in ages for me. The official digital release was far less impactful than the live, but I was able to follow the lyrics carefully. My personal impression is that it is not just a simple love song. Rather, it sounds to me, in keeping with the concept of the new album, the song is a crying out of a sad but dearest, can’t-give up-on love in the center of this irredeemable one world heading for ruin. If the Monochrome is a general discussion in dealing with the impending Ragnarok or the ultimate destruction of our world, then the Light and Darkness can be a song depicting one of our particular ordinary but precious and dear everyday lives that may be lost in the imminent doom. I also feel "Something Uneasy" that Flugelhorn Old Man in Japan commented on Robk's reaction to this MV. If this song was intended to make people feel the frustration of losing love/loved ones, only hats off to them.
Some will disagree with me and that’s fine, but in my opinion there is no greater vocalist in the world today. Yes there are a handful that have spent decades singing one genre and respectfully might be better than Su-Metal. However, there is only one that can outperform in every genre. ❤️🦊
Idk about that but she is definitely one of the best forsure. But there is still Cristina from lacuna coil, Noah from bad omens, Tatiana from jinjer, vessel 1 from sleep token, Courtney from spiritbox, etc. and they have different styles. She is definitely one of the best forsure and there is so much vocal talent right now. I discovered also a vocalist name Kristen from daedric. And she is also phenomenal, there are some highly talented vocalist pouring their soul into the notes they or even screams for that matter. A great time to be a fan. 🤘.
