The Hunky Dory Days for USA, Mexico and Japan fans continue as their 2023 10th Anniversary Concert series is long gone after they performed a whooping 70 of their over 100 superhit songs. And their big climax at the 17,000 seat Yokohama stadium in Nov 26 was unbelievable! But the 2024 Chapter Two of Band-Maid’s quest for World Domination is another huge success with many new concerts performed, collabs, and the drop of their new album, Epic Narratives. A live Band-Maid experience is not to be missed, if at all possible! Thx, JM!
I saw the other reactor who plays drum said that it was almost impossible to remember all the different patterns she packed into a song. Akane said in the interview that she reads sheet music and arranges these intricate patterns while talking to the other members. I guess she would have been the perfect drummer for Frank Zappa's band 😏.
The guitarist you call the rhythm guitarist is the lead guitarist. The rhythm guitarist is the one doing most of the backing vocals. As for technical… check out “Different”, “Black Hole”, or “Giovanni”.
♥ these chikas! Seen them play this at 2 diff shows (Philly 2022 & Houston 2023). They killed it each time (of course) At the Houston show Saiki & Miku seemed to try to one up each other by holding that long note for as long as each could
DICE is always a winner; it introduced me to Band Maid about 5 yrs ago. BAND-MAID / DICE (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/ZpAYnVJX9CY/w-d-xo.html Another winner is: BAND-MAID / alone (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/axF56i4spio/w-d-xo.html Check those out when you get a chance.
Lead guitar is 90% of the time in the right channel, except during solos where she takes part of the center channel as well. Rhythm guitar is always left channel, bass is center left, drums center. Lead vocal is always center channel and co-lead/backing vocal is center left, when Kanami sings backing vocals she is right channel, when the backing vocals are on the backing track, they are more left and right vs centered in the channel. Technical? Black Hole, No God, I'll, Balance, Corralium. As others have pointed out, Kanami is the lead guitarist. Miku is the rhythm guitarist. PRS=Lead, Zemaitis=Rhythm. Unleash, Shambles, Puzzle, Blooming, just pick ANY song by the Ladies. It will be a good one.
Band Maid! 🍺🥴🤘🏻🕊️

"Giovanni", both with vocals and the instrumental version! You will be stunned at the difference!
B M "YOU" live..
Saw Band-Maid do this song live twice in 2022, just as awesome live, if not better!
the song is phenomenal live! dbl ♥
Try Manners+Blackhole Live from BAND-MAID for a juxtaposition.
If you want technicality from everyone, check out Blackhole. That song is madness
