i see your point with couples. i myself as a guy loves when it's girls on the pictures. it doesnt have to be sexual or anything, it just shows a kind of purity that i dont believe would be there if it were a male and a female interacting. i love that purity, because for me, the picture does a lot about the song. it sets the mood.
