(36:57) Bass player did not need to yell at Jaden for making the right call. Whoever sang the song clearly wasn’t rehearsed and did sing 6/8 impromptu. I rehearsed previous groove with good father a couple times and it still didn’t work
@@Uncommon-Amongst-the-Uncommonother groove would have been “better” until it became awkward and seemed like off timing with the vocalist singing. The vocalist would have been locked into a 6/8 grid while musicians are in 4/4. Would have been a train wreck.
Jaden handled it better than most musicians! The bass player knew they were live and could’ve saved the unnecessary “ it’s not up to you “ “don’t change until I change” till after the camera was off. The person definitely changed to 6/8! It’s still church at the end of day! Good job Jaden.
Jaden showed a lot of maturity and he was right. The bass player wants the control and wants to call the shots. That’s the quickest way to tear a good band up.
@@derek1234dad Yes he is the MD and all the quality of music is there but self showed... I wouldn't even comment on that scenario this shows he wasn't in tune with the worship the switch by Jaden to the 5 was seamless he could have worked with and run with it but ego and self ran wild and that's crazy it doesn't matter how skilled or gifted you are humility is important once the ego trip started Jaden remained silent and that is very commendable a true embodiment of a steward of his gift
that Elevation tune is called Yahweh not No One, but y'all had good grooves the whole time. Every tune felt good but that flow moment from the prayer about 34:00 was excellent. I couldn't appreciate Calvin's pocket anymore than I did!! 🙌 for what it's worth, the md was correct in the that the chord progression was still viable but the time sig of course did need to change. so the compromise between the two was what was missed. good on Jaden for not pushing the issue and continuing to play because arguing in the moment doesn't help anyone. just my unasked for opinion and I could very well be wrong.. always something to learn here from these artists
It’s amazing how everyone knows who is wrong who is not. Cmon let’s just worship move on. Jayden and Co are a great team, who corrects who and how they were corrected doesn’t matter. As far God is praised
First time watching this. Awesome playmanship. Ummmh So when did we start calling each other dog at church. I believe the bass player was in the right. There is a an order when it comes to musicianship. Being a musician since age six and 44 now, I had to learn the hard way no matter what you hear if the band don’t hear it, don’t play it. In principal, Jayden shouldn’t have made that call, even if it was a better move. The bass player was actually nice about it. A lot of these musicians today , will play with a band (though they don’t want to) and then take over. You always follow the lead no matter what. God is not in confusion and disorder.
Do you realize how selfish that sounds? Jaden is serving the music so that worship can flow seamlessly and you are worried about ‘following the lead’. Nah..dumb argument. If it’s the right call, it’s the right call. End of story.

Exactly, if anything yall should’ve probably played the groove in 6/8 but Jayden wasn’t wrong for sure that was wild
The other groove would’ve been way better
It’s not even impromptu really - the ACTUAL song is officially in 6/8.

Good catch from the keyboardist with time change. He is locked in and focused. Everyone is a team in the band. Cover each other.

Yes sir.. Jaden’s setup is evolving 👏🏾👏🏾
Right call on Jaden end. Bass player need to tuck pride
I really learn alot from these guys
Great musicianship as always.. y’all are great 💯
Jaden was correct the time signature changed so the vibe would’ve been off. The bass player got in his feelings a lil bit 😂😂😂
Ego trip !!
Tbh lol

Don’t know who right or wrong. I do know that siemese musicians have dulled senses. Church musicians are supposed to be spiritually nimble.
