  • The liberal Move Forward party and the Pheu Thai party secured by far the largest number of votes in national elections, trouncing parties allied with the military and setting the stage for a flurry of deal-making in a bid to end nearly a decade of conservative, army-backed rule

Thailand is approaching 100 years of democracy yet we have never had truly free and fair election. Even now, vote buying and intimidation is widespread outside of urban areas but this election is possibly the closest yet to a fair election that reflects the will of the people.

Having witnessed Thailand first hand emerge from the coup of the 80s to a more democratic freer society and then drop back to monarchy and military control, the best ideas in spa and shopping experience ended in the last few years of Thaksin rule and after that from Prayut till now, you can see the decline in quality of goods , services and smiles as we know our Thai friends were really having a hard time and in no mood to display the creativity in food and design they are naturally blessed with.

Pita is on the edge of the plateau if he is still ready to crush on the millitary and climb up to check the Defence Mimister in pararell with PM position. He needs to adjust his attitude with army commander to get along with his coaition for 4 year otherwise this might be a sharp thorn on his chair like Yingluck history.
