Aye exactly how it should be done! No melons waving their phones around. Just a load of dirty dancers getting down and groovy to some fat basslines I love it. IPC is a hero and keeps the UK underground scene coming correct 🇬🇧🤠✌🏽
There’s headphones - the main system maybe overpowering the monitors so when ya cue up it can create a very tiny delay as it takes time for the main speakers sound to reach ya … ms 😮😂. That’s why we have the monitors jammed as close to us as poss and go deaf when we’re 50 lol 💪
Mixing Vinyl is an art when you can use headphones…without headphones becomes a f’ing nightmare but doable…not nice but my dayzzz he absolutely destroyed it! That’s talent right there, every single CDJ TH-cam you see can’t mix music like we can and he does it blindfolded! Yes DJ ❤
@@headbangax I can explain. If you’ve only ever mixed using CDJs then no way can you relate to my comment. Maybe you have? Let me know. I’m not saying can’t mix or beat match, but it’s incomparable to Vinyl hence why I said you can’t mix like we can. Using CDJ you have so much visual information available to you, looping a beat as long as you want, track bpm, beat cues the list is endless. I don’t have a problem using them at all, you can do things you can’t do with Vinyl and enables endless creativity (and lots of time to dance on set and create forced drops). That’s the world we live in though. If you haven’t had the chance to mix some vinyl then give it a go. Keep in touch 👊🏻
@@seamless.01 I can relate, yes. That why I asked you to explain ;) You're right about the visual informations and the possibilities that you have with CDJs. As there are many DJs that take the shortcut and "beatmatch" using the visual information without even putting the headphones on, there is a big amount of DJs that did learn to beatmatch by ear and know how to proper do it. They could have also handled this situation (lots of Kudos to IC for doing it this good) and mix the tracks "live" without the use of headphones because they know the craft and also very important - the tracks they're playing. Personally I started mixing vinyl but now using CDJs most of the time, rarely vinyl. But this doesn't mean that my sets are better or worse than someone who's mixing vinyl only. It's just different. In the end, it's about playing good music, that makes the people dance and have a good time. That's what it's all about. Cheers.
@@deanyvoys2181 I agree with your initial point that mixing vinyl doesn’t make you a better DJ than others that use CDJs. However, me personally didn’t grow up mixing on turntables, I wanted to learn how to, 8 years on im still learning. If you have only ever mixed using CDJs then no way can you relate to my comment. Maybe you have? Let me know.

Any thoughts why many of the transitions, particularly in the beginning, were quite rough? Not trying to throw any shade, just curious - big IC fan here, great/fun selection and usually v neat mixing, that's also why I'm assuming there must be some (technical?) underlying cause. When he's talking to stage manager, seems to be something about the booth speakers?
Great set! Mixing vinyl without headphones AND smoking an entire pack of cigarettes in 1 hour! This guy deserves a badge!
he is using headphones lol
wait i see
Those are some stressfull transistions in the beginning maybe so that would explain a whole pack of cigs haha
he made a post about this set saying there was a lot of sound issues, so he had to mix without headphones
