  • Going from a 144mm pump to a 155mm pump in the purple bottom wave raider 701 yamaha. Also comparing the pump from a gp1200 and an xl1200. A lot of waverunner jet pump stuff in this one. #jetskibrothers #pwc #waveraider

    144mm pump stock , the 1200 is 155mm. Swap the driveshaft bearings into the 1200 pump housing . Don’t have less spline overlap or it will strip the splines !

    I use a scaffold pipe with a big washer on top that's a bit longer than the shaft so it holds the casting and a big socket on the outside of the bearing to smash on.. and I noticed my 1100 has longer sponsons .

    Thanks for this. I was trying to figure out if my 155mm pump from the 1100 Raider will fit into the 701's hull. Looks like I should be able to pull it off with a bit of work.

      V.Hickle Garage you might not even need to swap out the drive shafts since you are going from waiveraider to waveraider. They might already be the same length. If so that would be super easy. Anyway good luck 👍

      @@JetSkiBrothers That occurred to me after I posted. . Fingers crossed. I haven't taken either one out of the hulls yet.

    Hi guys, for the installation of the pump intake tunnel, is it required to apply some kind of sealant on it? Or does it bolt right on without sealant/rtv ?
    Thanks!

    Hey do you guys know if any of the front bumper covers from anything and the gunwhale bumpers will fit on a 96 waveraider, im trying to get it all blacked out and looking nice but i dont have 300 jetskis in my backyard to compare...

    • @JetSkiBrothers
      @JetSkiBrothers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Howie for the rear corners xl1200 is pretty close also for the front part. For the sides 06 fxho looks like it will be a pretty good fit but you will have to trim the length. The very back a side piece from a super jet cut to length would work pretty good. Any way good luck

    Isnt the 701 raider cases the same port size as a 760? Im running a raider crank case with 760 cyl in my b1. I was told i pretty much have a 760 62t.

      not sure bud but it sounds right to me. we need more 760 stuff

      I think the only difference in the bottom end is the 760 has another pulse line coming from the case for the dual mikuni 44s.

    How's it going. Had a question that I'm hoping you can provide some feedback on. I have a 96 waiveraider 1100. Last summer it over heated on me. Not sure if it went on limp mode or I blew a cylinder. It moved but extremely slow and was really loud. Prior to that I did notice the cluster illustrating is was heating up. Of course I ignored it. What do you think may have caused it to over heat? Pump, carb, poor oil pump, etc... hope you get this. Or do you have a better way to reach out to you for recommendations?

    • @JetSkiBrothers
      @JetSkiBrothers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cxvasqu depends on what kind of noise it’s making. If it’s clanking knocking or chattering I would say the engine blew. If it’s just really loud exhaust sound then it is an exhaust leak

    • @cxvasqu

      @@JetSkiBrothers have ran it since it had that issue. Just yesterday though I cracked it and its not siezed and sound like it should when it cranks. That a good sign or doesn't mean much? Wasn't able to get it to start though. I need to rebuild the carbs and going to do a oil block off kit. But not sure if it's worth doing so if the engine is shot. Never rebuilt one before and don't know if it's worth the time and money to try.

      Overland 80 we are a bit north of Seattle, we sometimes sell whole skis when we need money for the next project. Sell off parts we don’t need. No raiders for sale currently though
