Fabulous Imberbus event Day. Weather was great. I'd do it again! It's well worth a visit. Lots to see & hop on & off the Buses. Everyone was amazing, to organisers, Volunteers, ticket sellers, Bus Drivers & owners, Cafe helpers etc. All the general public were amazing company, informative, & a great laugh, a lot of them returning again again. Do it, have a go. Imber has a story.
We had sn amazing day at Imber and the bus rides just bring back do many memories, thank you to everyone for making this happen and bring much joy to all!
You know I am going to say 'why not?'. More to the point the same route number for every destination - a London Transport habit of the post-war period designed to overcome Central Area Trade Union limitations on buses/crews changing routes during their shift. Made for efficiencies but confusing to passengers! And 23A certainly nothing to do with the London bus route 23 which Peter and I ran from Westbourne Park for many years as a flagship route.......
