I’ve got a 2013 675R apparently a consumable shifter plate, there is supposed to be a updated part for this model. The part looks remarkably the same as the 675’s I’m sure there are subtle differences, there again Triumph might be using the same parts but different metallurgy or suppliers. Apex makes a upgrade shifter plate for 2013-2016 675’s….
Hi, sorry to hear that. I've had two one offs made, one in 316 stainless and one in grade 5 titanium. One offs cost more than batch production, they were about £260 and £427, unfortunately I haven't had a batch made which would bring the costs down to about £90 for 316 and £130 for titanium gr5 each. Unfortunately Im not in a financial position to be able to get 20 or so manufactured to sell, the prices above would pretty much be cost too. I've no interest in monetizing this for myself so I'd be more than happy to give you the CAD file so you can send it out for quotation yourself? I used a website called protolabs for the stainless plate which was really easy to use. Finally a couple of notes, I made a mistake when I uploaded the cad to protolabs to order the stainless plate and ended up with the original size rather than a 2mm shorter peice. I've only managed to get 1000 miles on the new part so it's not been extensively tested, therefore I still can't guarantee that this would be a true fix, however my gear shifts do feel very positive. Finally, if this is your first occurrence of the fault then it may be worth trying the £7 triumph part first. Other triumph owners seem to have have had the issue, replaced with the oem part and had no issues after, I only got to the point of making my own after 3 failures. Let me know what your thoughts are 🙂
@@matthewsheppard3353 and yes this is the first occurrence and I am under full extended warranty until July 2026 so I could actually drive Triumph batty with this if it recurs. I am bringing the bike to a dealer shop tomorrow and will see what they do to remedy it. If they replace the gear selector kit I am going to ask if I can inspect the pivot plate- will let you know what happens. I also ordered a kit (including detente) to have a spare on hand when I move to remote AZ next month- I think the closet dealer there will be over 3 hrs away but I’ll be in a hangar so lots of room to wrench in my spare time.

I managed to get mine repaired for free twice out of warranty with some well worded emails but it got to the point where I realised they were just replacing the parts and not offering to take the bike away for some time to actually investigate the root cause hence my position now but if your warranty is till 2026 and if you're unfortunate to have a reoccurrence then you might as well use the warranty first! My dealership was quite good, they let me look at the parts after removal, to me it was fairly clear what was happening, once I had the cases open for my 6th gear project it was even clearer! Apparently the part numbers for the replacement selector mechanism kit keep changing so there's some hope on the triumphrat forum that they've altered the part to remedy repeat failures but time will tell on that one, the older part was a T1191968 which has now apparently been replaced with a T1191977. I've posted my email which I don't use often below, if you send me a quick message then I'll remove it after then I'll send you the cad / stp files you will need for cnc milling.

My 2020 T120 Black just started doing this- 2350miles! Any luck with manufacturing these? Can I get one?
