Thank you sharing this video from Japan. This was my first car I had almost 39 years ago. Although I got rid of my car, I loved this one best. Your video reminds me of the details.
Had one in Perth Australia in the early 1980’s .. great car , would go around corners flat out like it was a go-kart .. not surprised to see this one still driving around , it was a brilliantly reliable car & typical Honda. same blue inside’s with the trippy Speedo & Taco combination. Great little radio , everything was so easy to use.
Back when everything was optional and this car already had all the below! Sunroof (and ELECTRIC)! Auto (equal to having Trip tronic as not many had Auto) 5 Speed (most had 4) Dual carb Remote boot release (comparable to powered boot today)! RPM guage Clock and it is DIGITAL! Intermittent wipers Rear demisters Full cloth trim Matching door card color Comprehensive warning lights color coded door cards Waay ahead of the times. Bonus: Hood Vents!
Dag Ziviaantje, spijtig maar ik heb geen account op facebook, alles van de eerste generatie Prelude interesseert me wel hoor, is ook één van de mooiste modellen vind ik
WOW, she is gorgeous. What was the condition of the car when you bought it ? Turn on straight to 800rpm and soung perfect. I have a Prelude '81 too since 2015, 90 000 km and steel driving but not in the shape of your car. I have so many questions for you.... haha Is the blue color on the dashboard is from factory ?
hello simon, when I bought the car, the condition was good, on the sills under the doors was a small plate welded on, I had this removed and closed again flat. There are still small spots here and there, but not serious. The blue interior was standard from delivery.
The car is beautiful but those rims don't fit a car from early 80s. They remind me rims from Civic Type R EP3. I would change them to OEM steel obes painted white or to some aftermarket vintage alloys. I would gladly buy her and love her as I love my both other Hondas :)
You are absolutely right, the rims are not original. Everything else is still original, I still have the original steel rims, but I like this one better. Thank you for the nice comment.
I had this car. It was only fun to drive on windy country roads. It was anemic even for the day. It was however reliable minus the 3 barrel carburetor. Honestly, it was a horrible disappointment. But cool to see one none the less.
An absolute beauty. Hand crafted and detailed. Way ahead of its time . Wish it had stock rims too. Thank you for sharing.

I had one of these from 1981 to 1992. My favorite car ever. Wish I still had it. Great video, and thanks for the memories.
I’ve probably watched this video 10 times, I’m in love with this car

This was my childhood dream car.. I was 11 in 1981, always thought one of the coolest car back then, together with RX7 Savanna...
Very nice car, ty for such a video
Una meraviglia ❤
Very nice! My high school car.
Loved that car
I love love love it in white.. The only thing that could have been any better is if it had the black interior which it had in 1980
