I had no idea my interview could bring so much homesickness and happiness =). You all are incredibly kind and I'm glad you share my love for such a wonderful place and people!
I’m married to a Zimbabwean in the uk. She calls all women “sister, Aunty or mum.” I spend my life in confusion. Also the phrase ah is different to ahh and that’s different to ahhh. I haven’t even started.
Hi I'm from Ghana, but I've always loved Zimbabwe. I've never been there, but somehow, my heart is already there. I hope to move there one day and start a business there and hopefully marry and start a family there. I know, their former first lady was Ghanaian and there's also a street there, named after our first president, Nkrumah. I also follow a few of their news channels on other social media platforms. I'm trying to make as many friends there as possible, before I finally move there. A lot of people try to discourage me by telling me negative stuff, but I never give up. This guy's video has really uplifted me and given me hope.
Its so sad the love Zimbabweans give is not what we receive when we are in other countries, even in African countries.. I liked the accuracy, phenomenal and exact life of Zimbabweans, thanks for sharing this with the whole world
Walking down the road as a white guy in chitungwiza was probably one of the funniest experiences I ever had, people there are so open and friendly, they don't have much but yet they have a smile on there face. Hopefully I can return anytime soon
Wow! What a heart warming description of Zimbabwe and its people.Im half Zimbabwean and South African, when i went there for the first time i was actual left with no words, people there love each other like you cant believe. So welcoming and my best was when i went to the shops and i had only one item being used to SA i had to join the queue i ladies said go and pay you cant wait for this long queue with just one item.I was blown away to see such ubuntu. It breaks my heart to see how most of us South Africans treat them but once you step to their country you are are treated with love and respect.Zimbabweans are just one great humans i have ever met.I pray it shall be well in their country so that someday the whole continent should learn a thing or two about the spirit of ubuntu from Zimbabweans.I just love you guys💕
I've never looked my country from someone's else's eyes. It made me cry. Being away from home sucks. I love how you talked about our food. And the accuracy of your observations is really beautiful. Thank you. 💕
I've found Zimbabweans to be a lot more polite and respectful than many of the South African locals, also many times they are willing to do more and work harder.
Absolutely love this video, making me miss home so much, my heart will always belong in Zimbabwe. I love my Zimbabwe and its people. His description is so detailed, feel like he included everything about living in Zimbabwe and being a Zimbabwean.
If he is not a Zim guy masquerading as an American , then he really came in with an open mind, something all people need to do . He is so precise...even the pronunciation of local words. Good narrative
Gosh now I really want to visit Zim... being from limpopo Polokwane I always get on with Zim folk!!! Incredible people, extremely principled! Arguably the most trusted culture in Africa
He really made my day. He is of rare caliber like the Biblical Joshua and Caleb after exploring the promised land. A million thanks to him and my fellow Zimbabweans for showing who we really are. May blessed nation remain highly favored
I'm from Gabon and I have my big brother from Zimbabwe we've been very real close since me met in 2012 I'm from Gabon 🇬🇦 and I feel like we've been brothers for life. I love Zimbabwe music #Gafa I like Winky D, Jah Prayzah etc... #OneLove #OneAfrica
I don't know when this video was done or when he stayed here. But I can safely say that this is one of the most authentic and genuine description of our country 🇿🇼. More often we have these negative comments on our people and how we live. Yes we don't have the best of everything but we try to lead a decent life. We are a loving people. Am glad to see you say such about our country. It really shows how connected you were and interacted with the people around. You had a good experience of Zimbabwe and thank you for having a heart to remember the lives that made an impact on your life during the stay here. From just how he described the events and experiences you can really tell that he lived the experiences. We continue to pray and hope for better days for our people and our country. Zimbabwe 🇿🇼♥️ shall rise and shine. My beloved 🇿🇼
Yes you're basically Zimbabwean, need a Zimbabwean name I'll call you Muhluri, a Shangani name for a victor for you've conquered the cultural barrier, you know Sadza, Ishwa, Madora, Covo, Matemba👏👏....
I almost cried watching this, makes me see how much I took for granted some of the things that I just see as normal but to an outsider it's a whole experience on it's own. This made me miss Zimbabwe even more
I agree with you, I still remember the day that I went to Zimbabwe to study there at Africa University I applied online and I had to go there but I didn't know how, I found a person in town who went with me to the bus station wish was a little bit far away 👏👏👏👏
I'm Zimbabwean and this was a very accurate description of our food and the mamas and the people in general.... considering all the negative media we usually get it's refreshing to see such a positive description of the country for a change
Wow. I think he went to zim with an open mind. In the western world they are bombarded with negative stuff about african countries. In the usa sone eat the rattle snake, coyote which is dog-like, snails, snail like stuff called mussels etc, crabs shell fish !! Dude, come back and sabhuku will give u yiyr iwn stand kwa Murehwa so that u will grow your own organic stuff and raise organic meat.
This is one of the nicest videos I’ve watched in a while and the way he gets very emotional at the end shows how genuine he is. So respectful and I’d love to follow his life story. Zimbabweans are respected by a lot of South Africans where I’m from.
Born and brought up there. Always said the Zimbabwean people of all color are generous and friendly. My heart breaks to see how they have suffered over the years.
This was really fun to listen to as a Zimbabwean. There are things we take for granted or see as normal in Zimbabwe like addressing elderly women as mum. I loved this ❤️🇿🇼
You truly went to Zimbabwe with an open mind and had a good time just doing the ordinary things. I am in Virginia and am from Zimbabwe. I appreciate your review which was intriguing and captivating at a basic level. If you want more of Zimbabwe get in touch with the Zimbabwean community on WhatsApp. What church did you go to Zimbabwe with?

I’m so happy someone in the diaspora understands our friendliness😂 Being Zimbabwean I inherently smile, give hugs etc and I struggled with the response I got when I left Africa. Man, this is so informative and eye opening for someone whose never been to Zim. I love your non- judgemental open approach to other cultures. As a Zimbo myself, I do appreciate our beloved country is going through a lot right now. However, It’s heart warming and humbling to learn (through your testimony of appreciation ) that our country still shines through the foggy status quo. You certainly didn’t sell us short. Nuff respect!!
