Sometimes I fast forward through the mixing, if I’m in a hurry. But I kind of like watching your process as you mix and decide what you’re going to do. I would like to see you continue just the way you are.❤️

Hi Julie!! 👋😎👋 These make me think of colors you would find in a babies room. So pretty and soft. 👶💕👶
Yes, odd numbers are more unconsciously pleasing, so when you can, I would try to do your patterns in odd #s. I also think offsetting your petals would show the 3D better, and slightly more concave when you can. It doesn't have to be a lot, but more room for the colored resin to expand into shows better.
I think that your willingness to try all these different resins so others can see the good, the bad and the ugly and listen to what you have to say about them, helps so much. Some may like the Delchem (sp.?) if bubbles aren't of concern, whereas Barnes Clariti seems best if there are clear areas like these flowers. Others may use both, but for different applications. That may be what you decide to do, I suppose it depends on price and ease of use as much as much as final product.
I just think its great that you are showcasing the pros and cons of the resins so others don't have to. Thank you so much for doing that!! 🙂👍😀
God bless Julie and have a great week, again!!

I'm hoping you just keep doing as you do. We are learning right along with you. You express a lot of good thoughts as you prepare, and I don't want to miss them. I wouldn't have minded seeing the smoking resin, just as a learning moment. The best part for me is all of it together. The outcomes are a bonus. Always so pretty. I'm wondering if you take the room temp and humidity into account, but not sure how that affects things. Anyway, keep your chin up and the resin flowing. We love it.

I like seeing you mix.. its like understanding how you got to the colors you used etc. your colors are always going to be a bit thinner than pure resin cause youre adding more liquid to it. Also, something Ive noticed but never mentioned... when you heat at the end, you don't really have to push the resin in directly, just go around the outside. it will naturally push inwards away from the wind.

I absolutely love the color of these. I think you may be right about smaller petals and overlapping them.
I think you are on the right track. I have a question what if you make a batch of Resin for the colors so it can sit longer and another batch for the coasters clear base like 15 -20 minutes later. That way the piped on color resin will be thicker?
I don't know just grasping at straws.

Hi, I love your videos. Your coasters come out beautiful. I love them.
I am new to resin and still in practising stage.
Can i ask why does my glitter sink don't be bottom of my mould. I am doing keyrings to start with at the moment. Do you have a beginners tutorial for newbies to resin. 😊

Lovely 💙 Just remember every time you mix the resin it causes bubbles the kind I use starts to set up in about 20min mix it 2min till it turns totally clear cause if you add color ect you mix again. Like the petals off set Thanks Julie 💟

I wonder if having a colour in the resin made a difference in the pink and silver one, the base resin, instead of clear (just me thinking out loud really).

when u do yout normal coasters u fill heapd clear and if u use glitter or rocks u tip clear over so u dont feel it though the coaster.with these as i only do a bit of clear and not cover the glitter how do u not feel it when set?

  • @laurajohnson7165
    @laurajohnson7165 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I was thinking about the two coasters that you compared and how you said that one of them looked more 3-D. Do you think the reason that this one had less dimension than the other one was because you waited 45 minutes? Maybe the resin was too thick for it to move the piping as you did in the first one. I don’t know how long you waited for the when you compared it to but maybe that could be the reason? In no way do I presume to know anymore than you do LOL but I was just thinking because they look very different. Either way they’re both gorgeous and I love your videos and I love watching and learning from you.❤️

I think your pattern was different than before, which may have been a factor on the 3D effect.
