I really liked this video. I prefer this kind of content because all languages evolve all the time. English was not spoken the same 100 years ago and although New Zealand and Australia speak English, they sound different and even have different names for the same items. They also can have difficulty understanding each other as well.
Hi laoshi... I just found your channel and its very helpful in learning chinese but can you please provide hsk 4 standart course texts with english translation and grammar point explanations ?
尋思 xin2 這 zhei4 那 nei4 哪 nei3 說服 shui4 說客 shui4 呆板 ai2 下載 zai3 打烊 yang2 卑鄙 bi4 嫉妒 ji4 連累 lei4 給予 gei3 誰 shui2 主義 zhu2 Pleco has both variants listed for all of these except 卑鄙 and 主義. And in the case of 嫉妒, it says it’s a variant of 忌妒, and that character is properly pronounced as ji4. So I think people aren’t pronouncing the character differently; they are saying a different character. Or if they’re reading, maybe they forget which is which. Great video!
@@daweitao2668 I think zhuo is more common in Taiwan, and zuo in Mainland China. I just asked my wife, who is Taiwanese, and she wasn't even aware that some people say zuo. But it should also be noted that Z and ZH are less distinct in pronunciation for some Taiwanese and Southern Chinese. (Taiwanese also don't use the neutral tone on the second character.) But when it has the meaning "to carve or chisel" instead of "to ponder", I think it might still be more common to say zhuo. Again, just guessing here, not totally sure.
Always top knotch...delivery, creativity, and pure fun of language learning.

Great video!
Another one from the previous video: 琢磨 can be zhuo2 or zuo2.
@@artugert For 琢磨 do you know which is the more common pronunciation? I learnt zhuo back in the day, but zuo roles off the tongue more :)

@@artugert Thanks, what you say makes sense
ну вот когда кажется, что ты уже на пути к победе..оказывается, что ты снова в самом начале😢😂
Не волнуйся! Лишь несколько слов в повседневной жизни звучат иначе.
Don't worry! Only a few words sound different in daily life.
Бывает)

我认为,本来这个汉子"谁"的发音 = "shui"。现在经常人们说 "shei"。您觉得对不对?
两个发音都对。生活中,很多人发音的是shéi。
