Henry Leck conducted this piece for the Kentucky All-State Choir in 2012. I was one of the lucky ones who sang under him. He really knows how to make this piece a moving experience! I remember in rehearsals, he instructed the choir to turn and face each other, close our eyes, and to really feel for the lyrics deep down within of ourselves. I remember opening my eyes with tears running down my face. This is a great performance! They are very sensitive to this piece and his direction. The best part by far is where they sing the lyrics "gestures that say no!" gave me goosebumps all over. Gorgeous!
