I fully understand Billy. In this case and scenario, only broadminded, compassionate and intellectual people truly understand where he's coming from. The others who judge him are narrowmindended idiots who are not gifted with that elusive comprehension to dig deeper and see the whole picture. In my eyes and point of view, I can see that Billy had been going around his life just pleasing people, making others feel happy and content around him, while neglecting his own genuine happiness. I fully understand Billy. In this case and scenario, only broadminded, compassionate and intellectual people truly understand where he's coming from. The others who judge him are narrowmindended idiots who are not gifted with that elusive comprehension to dig deeper and see the whole picture. In my eyes and point of view, I can see that Billy had been going around his life just pleasing people, making others feel happy and content around him, while neglecting his own genuine happiness. That's it. Probably when he met Nikki, he found out she's a decent woman, smart, talented etc. And he courted her because there was interest and attraction, without even taking into consideration, careful thinking and real soul searching if he is genuinely happy with her. Akala siguro niya yun na yung autopilot ng happiness because everything was okay and she's a great girl. But we cannot fool our hearts deep inside. Even if she's with the deemed perfect girl lile nikki but deep down, his heart is not "at home" with her, he will really feel lost and sad inside. He will just show nikki actions of love, happiness on the outside just to make her happy. Just to make the fans happy and never disappoint them. While betraying his true feelings of sadness and lost deep inside. Parang nagpepretend na lang siyang masaya kahit alam niyang may kulang. So nang makita niya ang right girl for him, he felt that he just found his home. In the person of coleen. Then he is no longer lost. Walang may kasalanan dito. It's just the force of the universe that some people are not meant to be together no matter how perfect it looks on the outside. We cannot dictate out hearts and happiness. Live and let live, people. This interview just left me confused because honestly he didn't explain, just kept repeating the same thing and walking around the question.
Years have passed and this is my first time watching this. I was 14 yrs old when they broke up. And yes, like many others, I thought Billy was just making excuses to cover his 'feelings for coleen'.
Six years later, I'm 20. And I've been studying psychology for 3 years now. And I changed so much of my opinion about Billy.
I dont think it's about "love" or "falling out of love". In a mental health perspective, I think that it's a matter of experiencing a 'burn out'. Like Billy said, he's been in the industry for 26 years and always made sure that people around him were happy. Hence, forgetting about himself.
I'd like to say that this is common for most Filipino people. It's just sad that he's accused of cheating just because he could not be able to justify or clarify what he feels exactly.
In general, it's just sad how people use their feelings of depression as a reason or cause but others just dismiss it. It's 2019 and I would like to believe that Philippines is taking more action in terms of prioritising mental health and attempting to diminish stigma and stereotypes represented by the media.
It's okay not to be okay. Having or experiencing mental illness is not a weakness. It's not shameful. Getting help means you're strong enough to fight your mental illness. Even though you don't have mental illness, it's very much approved to get help anyway.

I have boyfriend when I was 16 sobrang perfect pero parang nakatali ako, gusto kong mag explore kac parang Hindi nako masaya. So after noong 1year and 8months na relasyon namin nakipag hiwalay ako. Di ko alam na sobrang nasaktan sya non, nasaktan din ako but I wanna be free I wanna live life na pinapangarap ko. I have met someone moving naging masaya ako, mas nagiging free ako. But suddenly it was a wrong relationship sobrang depress ako graduating ako non. I stand by myself and be happy again nagawa ko un. Nag enrolled ako Ng college and I have met my ex again, Doon ko na realize that in a relationship needs a good communication 😉 nagkabalikan kami, sobrang Mahal nya ako, Mahal ko dn sya. And im happy with it. Kung anong kulang samin we'll working for it. Pagtatrabahoan namin Ang mga bagay na pangarap. Nag tutulongan kami para sa isat-isa and I pray to God na Sana kami na talaga at e bless nya kami sa gusto naming field na pag tatrabhoan. Sana makakamit namin yun.
