My dad owns a 1981 Datsun 280ZX. He's trying to find a part. I'll do my best to explain: it is a 1981 Datsun 280zx Headlight Wiper Combination Switch. His headlight dimmer switch is not working. I've been searching all of the Z part sites. Any assistance would be appreciated. 🙏
should have bought Morimoto or Dapper lights, plug and play but you do need some wiring changes to make the turn signals work. Also not seeing the light beam pattern at night does not show if they are working as they should. Lots of knockoff ebay stuff out there that look right but perform poorly. Your daytime test does not show the beam pattern
Thanks for the video! it was hard to hear you so I’d turn up the volume just in time for the music to be too loud lol... did you end up figuring out the electrical for turn signals and day time running?
I've learned to play low music now and do voice overs, lol. Yes, they work fine. I heavily referenced Boosted Brothers Customs wiring videos for the Combo Switch.
The box had JG-J003 on it. I got them off eBay by searching for 7" LED headlights, these are 6500k white. 7" LED Headlights on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/332495320840 Google search of JG-J003 www.google.com/search?q=jg-j003&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjRjt6gme7zAhW-l2oFHXYOCQMQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=2560&bih=1329&dpr=1
@@unleashedxauto I installed the same ones as you did but I cannot get the high beams to work, I mean they work on the old ones but on the new ones the low works just fine but the high I can hear the relay click but no light what so ever. could there be an issue with the power voltage of resistance? for some reason, the high won't turn on with the new headlights but it will with the old ones.
@@gaarafranco8667 you can check with a meter to see if low beam power is going where it should and the same for the high beam wire. That's where I would start anyways.

Bro what is the wiring set called
The main wiring harness is an E-Z Wiring Harness (Universal).
is it 100% plug and play or is there some wiring needed? and will this fit on 1980 datsun 280zx?
I think it would have been plug and play but I was in the process of rewiring my car. I'm not sure what size lights come on the 280zx.
@@unleashedxauto I believe they are 7" because thats what pops up when you search them up.
Do these need a ballast? Or is just plug to existing? Nice z!!
It was plug and play, thanks.

nice! did all your blinkers and hazards work with less resistance from the LEDs or do the conversion kit wires adjust for that?
All the lights work fine, I assume the LEDs are designed to plug and play.
What is the part number or brand for those headlights plz

Oh there is power on both high and low but it’s like the new headlights just don’t wanna work on the high beam. They turn off
Can't use those lil side LEDs as signal lights their not Amber...
