You are setting yourself a very high bar for your next series after this one with the quality of these releases. Nicely done , thoroughly well produced and enjoyable series. 👍
Hey man, great work amazing videos. 1. the P90 you're using is the worst of them all. It's like the " I want *this*, no we have *that* at home. *that* at home." Dont give up on it, give a try to another one. 2. you can use most SMGs like the MP9, MP7, P90 etc. pistols and short shotguns like the sawed double barrel or the 4 rounds shotgun in Binoculars/detector slot. So you can have more guns on you. 3. With the mag redux, you should change the reload not in Anomaly settings, but in mod key wrapper.
Oh is it? That's a bit of a relief, I want me a good P90. I completely forgot you could equip a sidearm in that slot, I'll have to do that next time. Yeah I tried everything with the mag redux mod, believe me. No matter what I did it'd reset my reload key. I'll figure it out for another play through I think.
Your editing style is very fun to watch, and i love how u condense ur videos into stories like this. Most stalker youtubers will upload a 4 hour long vid with no editing so your videos are very refreshing to watch! make more!
Hey thanks appreciate that! I try to condense my experience into a narrative for the audience, so it's as fun to watch as it was for me to.. well experience!
If you find an AK105 it can be upgraded to the "Shakal" or "Swamp Thing" version, you get the upgrade kits from Duty and Clear Sky respectably. Very good all purpose gun.
From your first video you became one of my favorite Stalker youtubers; I just love the way you approach the world and immerse your viewers in it with you. Also, I found that you can improve the resolution quality of some scopes using the keybinds in MCM to adjust your equipped weapon's distance from you while aiming, typically by bringing them closer. Can't wait to watch more!
Hey thanks for that! I find it easy to do when the game is as immersive as GAMMA is, it's fun trying to translate the nonsense in my head into a video for everyone lol. Yeah I always forget, when in doubt browse the mod menu. I'll see if pulling the gun closer at least feels better.
Loved the intro, man! A note on the P90 I think there are at least two but maybe three types of P90 in the game, the one you got is sadly the worst. There's a version where you can put your own sight on it which slaps.
It goes on wayyy too long and not exactly where the game shines imo. Next time I do it I'll run around with a shot gun instead, sniping them was pretty boring tbh lol
@@NostalgicAscent agreed its sooo long and tedious perfectly described not where the game shines even going up to them and farming them is boring when you memorize the spawn instantly
Try upgrading the P90, maybe it'll become more inline with what you want, also remember you can salvage the upgrades out of weapons when you disassemble them.
A couple answers to questions or statements you had in the video (love the series btw): 1) monsters and stalkers (rank/gear-wise) scale with days in the zone. So you are right that you are gradually running into stronger mutants. This setting can be adjusted by I believe the ZCP settings in the mcm configs (in game) 2) P90 - it feels bad because your using it on mutants. In Gamma the P90 is intended for mid tier stalkers. It has low damage and medium Armor Pen (AP). This is why it rekt the mercs but felt bad everywhere else. You are reaching the point in the playthrough where you need two different guns. One for mutants (low caliber SMG or shotgun with buckshot) and one for stalkers (rifle with scope (distance) and AP. Your MP9 feels better because it uses 9mm, a round intended for mutants. You've got by killing stalkers with it because your super far south so the stalkers barely have any Ballistic resistance. As you continue north that will rapidly change and your MP9 will tickle them. I'd recommend giving it a other try on just stalkers, you'll get a more accurate assessment of the gun then. That said there are hundreds of guns in Gamma, play around and find one you like! I'm very particular to 5.56 and .308 in gamma myself. 7.62x39 also got a buff this patch. As a Loner you have access to both NATO and Warsaw traders so you can use either class of gun easily.
It is important to use proper ammo to. HP/Buckshot for Mutants and AP for stalkers (if you can afford it) Ammo Pen/Flesh Damage basically tells you what this ammo will be shredding, just like in Tarkov
Yeah it makes sense, pretty much what I've concluded as well. I'm just learning and experimenting by doing is all and since I love the P90 so much, I was excited to just rip everything apart with it lol. I'll find a loadout that feels right soon enough, I prefer playing blind and not immediately min/maxing. It's a funner experience testing the waters and pushing things to see where they end up. Thank you though! Appreciate it!
@@NostalgicAscent absolutely, definitely don't min max your playthrough, figuring things out is the best part of Gamma! I just wanted to point that out because it felt like you were creeping closer to giving up on the P90 despite loving the gun; you were just using it in the wrong matchups. P90 slaps all the way to late gave vs stalkers :)
Hey man, I'm watching your G.A.M.M.A. videos right now and I have to say that I love your approach, storytelling and choice of music. The quality for such a small channel is really outstanding. But I have a suggestion. First of all, G.A.M.M.A has ZCP installed. This is a mod that controls the population of the zone. I would suggest that you set the population of the mutants and stalkers to x2, otherwise you will notice after several playthroughs that some places just remain empty. For example, without changing the settings I never saw stalkers on the roof opposite the merc base or the southern camps of the truck cemetery. On the other hand, the zone simply becomes much more dynamic. Rostok, for example, is much busier. Duty patrols the streets, soldiers do drills and stalkers relax in run-down warehouses If you want to change the settings then go to the mod menu by pressing Esc, at the very bottom is ZCP and then in the main submenu. You don't need to touch the stalkers and mutants submenus. Just keep in mind that this change will take 3-4 ingame days to take effect. Feel free to ask in Discord about it.
Yeah I just may do that, I've known I could tweak that kind of stuff but have wanted to leave it on mostly default just because this is gonna be my first full playthrough. But that does sound pretty good, maybe I'll give it a try and if it's too much drop it back down. Thanks for the compliments and advice though! Appreciate it!
Hello from Ukraine! Really enjoy your playthrough. It's so refreshing to watch someone who doesn't know (or pretend knowing) everything about where the next snork or bloodsucker spawns. It's much more interesting to watch people who enjoy playing rather than being effective
Awesome! Glad to hear that. I'm playing pretty damn near blindly with no desire to look things up or min/max things. I play for fun and immersion in the moment and I just enjoy sharing those same feelings.
Hey not gonna say that every white stash is worth it... Because really they can be a pain to go get just to get sewing kits. But, in my run on default settings I have found an artifact smelter and a Remington 700 from white stashes. If they are in super hard to get/dangerous areas, yeah forget about them. Sometimes they can be worth it though.
It's the loot goblin in me, even though in this game it's not like we can just sell everything for quick cash I STILL feel the urge to loot them all lol. I'm mostly just done in the southern region though, it's time to move up north!
checkout the auto complete mod any missions that don’t involve the turning in or exchanging of items, such as kill quests or mutant elimination - will automatically finish and pay you the second you complete the task. no need to trek all the way back somewhere just to tell a guy you successfully killed someone also with weapon regret - I just make a manual save before doing a repair so I can go test it and see if I like it before committing to the repair usage
Sounds really tempting, but I think I'll lose too much of emergent gameplay having to backtrack produces and its my favorite part of the game. Definitely tempting though, we'll see how I feel in another dozen hours lol. Yeah I'm trying to just play straight with minimal save scumming, so decisions are pretty much permanent. Thanks for the tips though!
I heard that the Gamma P90 was nerfed recently. More specifically, the ammo type was made less effective at damage. Don't know how true that is but it might explain your issues with the P90. Crazy to imagine you've never been much further in Gamma than you currently are. Is that what you mean by when you said "things wrap up around Rostok?" In any case, the Miracle Machine and Brain Scorcher are going to be terrifying. After I do those, I always feel my Stalker needs to remove his helmet (to play the animation) and take a cigarette to calm their nerves. Something about those two animations together just feels comfy after doing something harrowing.
Oh did it? Idk it just feels really weak, but as I said I've used it so much in Tarkov or hell even CS that it's jarring here. I meant things ramp up from Rostok on, since the southern regions are so much easier compared to even just whats north of Rostok. I've made it to the few zones above it before in GAMMA, but as far as doing the "main" quests, this is as far as I've been.

Nice I'll keep that in mind, probably have one in my stash already.
Your aim is on point.

Hey thanks, it was fun writing and reading it! Yeah I'm learning the current P90 might have to be put down for now, RIP
The bandit defend point mission you get at Rostok is an insane source of $$$.

I slapped a couple on there, I'll farm some cash and make some more next time.

Yeah I know, but in relation to the P90 I find it's doing far less than basic 9x19 FMJ's which is just silly.

I'll take the old girl out on another tour with me, I don't want to give her up just yet!
BRO that intro was so god damn good, have a sub brother
Happy to hear! It was definitely a fun write and reading!
@@NostalgicAscent pls keep doing videos, you are great. Really enjoyable!
Taking on the Agroprom military outpost, I highly recommend a semi auto rifle at range. AP rounds are a plus. It's just too tough with bolt action.
Yeah that's why exactly why I wanted to just try a disguise instead lol, never used the system before either, wanna try it out!
