- Episode 72 of Unsung Heroes, a series on HSG featuring some of the obscure cars from both the concept and mass production world which simply do not get the recognition which they deserve...
In this episode we take a look at a monstrous French speed record car from the 1920's, which bears something of a resemblance to a certain 'Tank Car' in Gran Turismo...

This is why I love this series.
I would never thought this would be a Renault car. It looks awesome and to believe this was in the 20s of the last century.
My favourite 60's race car ever that never will changed my mind other race car
I like it. Looks...interesting, certainly. Has an interesting story as well.
Also, 1000 tyres in 24 hours? That's crazy considering they probably couldn't produce tyres very quickly back then (now I want to research the history of the production of pneumatic tyres)
haha, exactly. Unsung Heroes sparks thoughts like that, and random rabbit-trail research
Mutagen from Mafia DE
So this had to do pitstops every 1-2 minutes?
I doubt it, but the point about its tyre usage was a little vague in my research. Maybe they meant over its entire course of speed runs rather than one run
Its ugly, very ugly
Function over form, like the Chaparral 2J
